“They weren’t angry with me, or with SRS — they were just worried for their kids. A lot of people said, ‘I don’t care about me, I wasn’t getting anything. I care about my kids.’Yes you were getting your share of what food stamps brought in. Same thing in Mexico, have to many kids and worry later about how to provide for them. It seems like parents used their kids as a meal ticket.

I am sick and tired of the media and their sob stories!

When are these slime-encrusted, open borders fetishists going to do a story on the poor, single-income family that doesn't have a father because he was run over by an intoxicated illegal alien who the cops didn't detain of because of his city's sanctuary city policy?

Gads...this story sounds like “victim of the month” who was trotted out at every Clinton STOTU speech....or maybe the equivalent of the story about the woman who used her dead sister’s false teeth that was used of the excuse to pass Obamacare.

I’ve had enough of the selective victomhood.

So many people do not understand that illegals undercut wages, taking jobs from citizens- and the illegals can’t make it on the low wages either so are on every possible program. Illegals are truly the elephant in the room when it comes to the economy and I will not believe any politician is serious about fixing the economy until they address this issue. I want NO cuts to the military, seniors, or any agency/anyone else until illegals are cut.

“I have to wonder if the governor is really on board with the policy,” said Sister Therese Bangert of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. “I wonder if he understands the ramifications of this policy, if he understands what’s happening to the children.”

Seems the Good Sister does not understand the difference between Charity and Coercion.

If she believes that these people need help, she should be requesting her own church, the catholic church, step in as a charity and take care them.

Forcing taxpayers at the point of a gun, and make no mistake about it, if you do not pay your taxes, out of protest or whatever, eventually, someone with a gun comes and takes you away to jail, is not charity.

Furthermore, the good Sister seems to be confused concerning Christianity being in support of forcing people to support other peoples children before they can take care of their own children.

Shameful behavior on the part of someone claiming the name of Christ; using the government to force tax-payer support for their parishioners.

Were they “born in the jurisdiction of the United States?”

Probably not. The Constitution in plain language talks about “the exclusive legislative jurisdiction” of the United States.(Federal).

It amounts to the ten square miles ceded by the states for the seat of government and all fortresses, docks, territories, etc.

That’s what it means to be “born under the jurisdiction” of the United States.

They AIN’T citizens.

How can he be in the country for 13 years and not be in the process of becoming a citizen?

I know it may be difficult, but it seems to me if you’re making an effort to become part of the fabric, you’re generally be given the chance to do so.

This isn’t a story about the kids being on their own (under current case law, counting as US citizens) and having trouble qualifying for welfare benefits. This is a story about his illegale dad no longer counting as head of a family. If he can’t scrape by here, maybe he should try his luck in Mexico again. Or some arrangement should be made to get Mexico to send him benefits here — really, should Mexico be bumming off the USA without even so much as a by your leave?

“A new debate swirling around Kansas, though, isn’t about Pedro. It’s about two of his three children. They were born here, and one day they will have driver’s licenses and the right to vote, just like any other U.S. citizen”

No, they are NOT citizens!
I am sick of hearing the fallacy to excuse the moochers and their anchor babies.
Deport them, ALL of them.

Unfair?
What is really unfair is for invaders to spawn children as levers to demand we let them claim “Benefits” that should be reserved only to actual Americans.

Actual Americans would feel some pressure to improve their situation, after eleven years this example is still working a job that we are to believe still leaves him needing assistance.
Apparently hoes NOT work too hard, never gets a promotion.

He needs to go back to Mexico, and take all his dependents with him.

I wonder how many fake/forged identities he has. A common practice among "impoverished" illegals is to buy several faked identitues for several thousand dollars each----the illegal then votes and rides the US gravy train under several names.

One latino stole $3.2 million UI benefits using several identities. Jose Madrigal---the Washington state tapist---had some 30 identities.

===========================================

REFERENCE July 21, 2006----BERGEN RECORD, NJ

Texans accused of selling counterfeit IDs (impoverished illegals "here for a better life" pay several thousand $$$ for fake ID's)

Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, NJ L/E authorities said.

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses----for any state in the US------ passports and resident alien cards, said state police.

The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force regularly runs checks.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately.

The Texas brothers consented to a search. Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.

All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards. ####

Pedro’s family received nearly $300 a month in food stamps. Enough to buy milk, eggs and meat, fruit and yogurt.

And that money, being fungible, now lets Pedro spend his other money for $300 worth of lobster and tequila. How stupid do these liberal newsrooms think their readers are? ...Oh wait. They helped get America to elect a freaking Al Sharpton-style "community organizer" from Chicago as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Nevermind.

There’s something I’ve never understood about ‘anchor babies’.

Why is it that a foreign visitor can visit the U.S. legally, with his pregnant wife, and if she has the baby here, their child is NOT an American citizen by birth.

And yet, other foreigners, crossing into this country illegally, who have babies, somehow their children are ‘citizens’?

Why doesn’t the foreign visitor rule apply to illegals?

Did anybody catch this , She received a letter saying she would no longer get food stamps for her son. Initially she wondered why.

“Then I came up with my own answer,” Isela said. “It’s because of my lack of status. My lack of papers.”

When she received the notice, she was making $9 an hour and working an average of 38 hours a week with no benefits. Before the policy change, her son qualified for $121 a month in food stamps. That allowed her to buy the fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meat her son’s doctor said he needs.

She is working illegally and making $ 9.00 an hour, have us some document fraud going on here. to buy the fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meat her son’s doctor said he needs. Her dr said, I am sure this same dr told every other kid the same story.

I have zero sympathy for illegal immigrants and their anchor baby scams...... But the children are US citizens so I don’t know how Kansas is able to pull this off. Look for a Federale lawsuit from Thomas Perez scumbag at the Justice Department

"At a time when Gov. Sam Brownback has vowed to reduce child poverty, the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services — a state agency the governor controls — made a policy change that eliminated food stamps for hundreds of low-income U.S. children whose parents are illegal immigrants."

Notice, this was the policy of KS SRSthat placed the income of an illegal alien at the head of the line to receive food stamps ahead of others in line.

Note to FReepers: former Governor of KS was........wait for it.....Kathleen Sebelius, who is now in charge of your life and health, under Obamacare!

Better check with the "policy" for food stamps with your state to make certain that they are not ordering the same thing - wanna bet that your state has the same policy, no matter who is your governor or state legislature.

This is the problem with all of these gub'mint, "policies" come from on high and most citizens never know what's going on.
