Tell you what, should I stop the Howie Carr ping list? I don’t mind doing it but some people are upset about Howie embracing Romney.

There are places like the new HowieCarr.us, Howie’s Facebook, and so on we can go to if need be. Personally I think Howie has great columns, we have some nice discussions, and I can help spread great info, but if you folks on the ping list
would rather have NO ping list because he’s embracing Mitt,
I can stop. Everyone on the ping list, what’s your opinion?
I say I should still do it, but if everyone’s so upset
about the Mitt stuff, then I’ll stop and you’ll have to turn elsewhere.

Opinions?

I think it’s great to keep track of local politics. Ann Coulter has endorsed Romney, and I haven’t hear about her being banned from here. Also, the list is good for events outside of Howie Carr - like hearing about Tim Murray and probation scandals.

Currently there are 66 names on the HC ping list and I don’t know how many of them are upset (I know one person who complains isn’t on the ping list, though) about Howie and Mitt, etc. So far I haven’t seen mass defections from the list because of all this, for the record.

I’d much prefer to be able to receive, consider and delete stuff than not get the information.

NO DATA sucks.

Howie will come back -- at least he did after his sustained insistence that Dole was electable!

Anyway, I think he seems to have gotten enough negative feedback from listeners to at least cut back on the Mitt rumpswabbery, so -- hopefully -- he won't again hit that all-time low of the time Mitt called in for an interview and it was soooo embarrassingly obvious that they were both reading from scripts (possibly scripts written by Mitt's people)!

“Tell you what, should I stop the Howie Carr ping list? I don’t mind doing it but some people are upset about Howie embracing Romney.”

Temporary insanity. Maybe there’s something wrong with US if we can’t bear a little dissent from someone who is unquestionably with us in all other respects.

Don’t disband the list. Even 75% of a Howie Carr beats the 10% of most of the rest of the Lame Stream Media. If FReepers can’t live with that, we’re no better than the DUmmies we constantly berate and laugh at!

Gotta have the HC ping list. There’s too much local skinny for me to miss it. I have not taken a oath or perpetual emnity towards Romney. He would be a HUGE inprovement over the incumbent.

I thought it was, at least, worth discussing whether or not to continue the Howie Carr ping list. It’s true that Howie’s issues outside of ‘12 GOP POTUS candidate issues are worthy of maintaining the ping list. Whatever...

Raccoon,

I have thanked you numerous times for your “Howie Carr Ping List”. Stopping that would be akin to throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It is disappointing (but not surprising) that Howie is backing Milt. But, I’m not going to boycott Howie.

In the end, we have to accept that either Newt or Milt is going to be the GOP nominee for POTUS. I hope it’s Newt, as I cannot stand Milt. We have been dealt a rather weak field of GOP candidates to choose from. Newt is in my opinion the best of what’s left and I believe he can win and affect change. Milt, OTOH, is at best a RINO. He is the grandfather of ObamaCare, and would BARELY be any type of improvement over Obama. I will not vote for Romney ever again.

Anyway, please continue the HC ping list. That’s my vote on the matter.
