With Americas future at stake in November, I decided to support Mitt Romney for three reasons: his Reaganaut philosophy, executive experience and general-election campaign strengths
Mr. Obamas manifold failings underscore the final issue: electability. Competitors and politicos are already endlessly analyzing this question, so Ill make only three brief points.
First, there is an infinitesimally small chance that Mr. Romney will self-destruct in September or October. No-drama Obama, meet your match. Second, Mr. Romney has the overwhelming lead in endorsements from Republican senators and representativesthe most aware, self-interested community, bar none, regarding our nominees electability. No propensity there to grandiosity or suicide. Third, Mr. Romney shares one of Reagans most important and attractive characteristics: being critical without being angry or scornful.
The late Bill Buckley bequeathed us the right test: Pick the most conservative candidate capable of winning. That is clearly Mitt Romney.

Shut up John Bolton. Go back to talking about foreign policy, where you belong.
Mr. Bolton..I like and respect you...but I question your opinion in this matter,
I think John is a great thinker and a tremendous foreign policy wonk, but he has apparently lost focus on things other then his area of expertise.
Mitt is such a waffly fog, that maybe Bolton (and other Mitt cheerers-on) think Obama will find fighting him like trying to fight a will-o-the-wisp.
And so many people here wanted Bolton to run.
The phrase “Romney is the only conservative ...” is an oxymoron.
I think that pretty well sums it up.
He’s great at foreign relations, but he’s off base here.
He’s still a great asset.
Romney, Romney, Romney, Romney, Romney, Romney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
/sarcasm.
What in the “H” is a Conservative if Romney is one?
Bolton’s messed up.
Except that he’s right. Yah, I’d love to see Newt as President, but he’s not going to make it on the national stage. Too many negatives in his baggage to get that last few percent it takes to win. Romney will have wider appeal than Gingrich. That’s just the truth of it. I don’t have to like it, but we’re fools to ignore it.
The liberal fascists have been satisfied with incremental change... And they’ve been kicking our asses because of it. We want it all at once or nothing. So... We’ve been getting a lot of nothing. Me... I’m assuming that Obama will win re-election and am planning accordingly. We’re going to screw this one up too.
Romney may be the Republican that can beat 0bama, but he’s no conservative.
I’d still like to see Bolton as Sec. of State, regardless of his politics.
B/S!
That is an agricultural term for you to consider....
Are you posting this to promote RINOmney?
WTF is going on with our conservative warriors? The stupid ... it hurts.
Let's face it...
Romney has more baggage than a Pullman car can hold....
Maybe Romney promised Bolton the Secretary of State post. Bolton is smart enough to know who our enemies are. But calling Romney a conservative? Bolton is way off.
“Bolton’s messed up”.
Is he messed up or was he promised something for the endorsement? I’m beginning to wonder just how “intelligent” bolton truly is...
No one in politics have disappointed me as much as Bolton. He COULD have save the US in 2008, but refused to run for president - even though his own staff wanted him to run, as well as people like Jim Quinn.
Too busy making money to save the country.
