Newt said on TV, on one of the debates, I heard him, he would consider Sarah Palin.

Portman endorsed Romney yesterday. Team Romney is scrambling to call in as many endorsements as possible before tomorrows voting in SC.

I sent a scathing e-mail to the Portman team and sent a message to him through a mutual friend. It was not a happy message.

The V. P. is generally the shoe-in when an eight year term comes to an end.

Nope. It's not. Has only happened 3 times in history. Washington's VP Adams, Jackson's VP Van Buren, and Reagan's VP Bush. By the way, all three previous VPs only served one term.

I’m no fan of Newt or Romney , but whoever wings the nomination should pick Allen West for VP .

Okay, that’s fine. Thank you for the correction.

Look, what takes place at the end of an eight year term in office? My perception is that the Vice President generally gets the nomination to continue.

Hey that may be a false premise too. If so, I would urge you to mention it.

If we get a luke warm moderate installed, it’s my take that we will at best see twelve years before we can expect to get another shot at putting a good guy in.

We’re pretty close to my last shot at supporting an actual Conservative for the White House in my lifetime.

I’m resigned to watch folks make the same mistake we have since 1988. There’s always more folks who don’t really give a damn about Conservatism when the going gets tough.

We were lucky to have Reagan. I’ll just watch as the political klutzes continue to try the same damned things all over again, expecting a different outcome.

"How bout Newt/Cain?"

Cain or some other Tea Party conservative.

Either way, put Cain in charge of Tax policy.

Well, I’ve got some good friends in Cincy, but Toledo
is the most boring city I’ve ever spent 2 days in.
But I did miss their legendary hot dog place, which I only found out about years later......

Never forget...ALL MSM will be in the tank for Zero.
Never forget...Zero has the advantage of incumbency and Air Force One.
Never forget...Zero has been campaigning already for 2nd term non-stop since February 2009.
Never forget...Zero will have a Billion dollars to attack the GOP ticket with.

Against these odds, the GOP has one and only one chance to defeat the Kenyan socialist....UNITY. If there is no unity among republicans in November 2012, just fuhgett about it.

Whichever ticket unites republicans is the only winning ticket.

"I predicted that if McCain picked Palin that he would win in a landslide."

It was heading for a Palin landslide until the September Surprise, when Soros (or someone similar) put in $550 billion in money market sell orders over an hour or two to cause a financial panic.

If Gingrich gets it, I hope he picks someone not currently or previously in the race. Not particularly a fan of Rubio anymore as he strikes me as someone that is put on a pedestal simply because of his heritage, but I’ve heard his name thrown around. I hope it’s someone that will really add to the ticket like Palin did, but I don’t want it to be a pick of a woman or a black or a Hispanic as the main criteria. Pick a true blue conservative with some charisma and fight whomever he or she might be.
