Newt’s biggest sin marked with scarlet letter ‘R’
Boston Herald ^ | 1/20/12 | Howie Carr

Posted on 01/20/2012 12:08:18 AM PST by raccoonradio

Say what you will about Mitt Romney, but here are two words you’ll never hear him utter: “Open marriage.”

I raise this only because I’ve noticed something lately about another of the Republican candidates, namely Newt Gingrich. Women don’t like him. I mean, they really detest him.

This problem predates last night’s “Nightline” interview with his second wife, Marianne, who proved once again that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Good luck avoiding those ABC sound bites today, now that they’re all in the public domain.

Whether or not either of his first two wives was on her sickbed when he first broached the D-word to her, that’s the story that’s out there. You’ve heard of the Second Wives Club. Callista is president of the Third Wives Club.

No wonder yesterday in Walterboro, S.C., Newt surrounded himself with hostages, most notably his grandchildren. Message: How can I be a horndog if I have grandkids, not to mention a brother who’s a cop who supports the Second Amendment?

Last week Newt was a “historian.” Now he’s a good ol’ boy.

So what if Newt was livin’ here, lovin’ there, lyin’ in between. He’s not the first pol of whom it has been asked, “If fingerprints showed up on skin, wonder whose we’d find on you.” Yet he gets cut no slack, which in a way is puzzling. We don’t know his whole cheatin’ heart, but it seems that he marries every woman he cheats with. Shouldn’t that count for something?

Note how the lamestream media is pummeling Newt, as opposed to the way they treated the now-indicted John Edwards in 2008. Edwards had a knocked-up New Age gal pal who had picked him up in a singles bar in Manhattan. He was using campaign cash to keep her and the unborn love child on the lam, shuttling them from one posh resort hotel suite to another, while Edwards’ loyal aide lied that he was the father of the future Frances. And don’t forget the XXX amateur videotapes.

Surely a much more serious breach of marital fidelity than Newt’s serial adultery? Plus, a federal crime if you believe the U.S. attorney in Raleigh. The Edwards scandal was on the front page of the National Enquirer every week. But the moonbat media was unanimous in its verdict. ... Nothing to see here, move along.

Did I mention that John Edwards is a Democrat?

Being a Republican, Newt obviously knew there would be no Bill Clinton-Jesse Jackson free pass for him. Perhaps that’s why he converted to Catholicism — a fresh start. Bless me father for I have sinned ...

Will Newt win tomorrow? I know at least two women rooting against him — hard.

I am a woman, and I chose Newt in October. I don’t give a flying fig about his divorces, I’m not marrying the man.

When you’re a Mormon there’s no need for it. You can just marry the both of them.

Fair's fair. Perhaps, the media should ask Ann Romney if Mitt ever asked her if she'd like a sister wife.

I know that polygamy is no longer the official teaching of mainline Utah LDS but I have also been told by an LDS bishop that its practice is not uncommon and generally ignored by church officials unless the polygamous marriage becomes too public.

For me, it’s Anyone (_|_) (Butt) Obama. I’ll take the most conservative yet electable candidate.
How many heads here will exploded if the ticket winds up being Gingrich-Romney or Romney-Gingrich? (Foes winding up a team...remember Reagan-Bush)

As for polygamy, my joke is perhaps “Romney believes a marriage is between a man and a woman, and another woman,
and another woman...”

Mitt pledges to make Howie a senator, from his days as governor.

http://howiecarr.us/50000-watts/
Look for “Mitt appoints Senator Howie” nr bottom

Transcript:
Howie: I gotta ask you this because people have been asking; I know it’s a frightening thought but suppose there’s a vacancy in the Senate because someone moves up (Kerry) if you know what I’m saying...who would you appoint to the Senate?

Mitt: Well, I’ve given a lot of thought to that and the answer is Howard Carr. You were going to be my appointment to the UMass board and that was enough to scare Billy Bulger away—if I announced that you were going to be the appointment to the U.S. Senate, THAT ALONE would keep John Kerry from getting elected! (laughs)

Diogenesis:

I have taken it upon myself to do the Howie Carr ping list.
We have many subscribers. What I do is start a weekly ping for discussion, Howie columns, etc. If there’s breaking news I’ll post it. When Howie’s contract situation comes up again and I find out where Howie is headed on the dial, my ping list members will be the first to know.

Compared to liberal talk hosts, etc., Howie is seen as a “far right wing Rethuglican”. These folks think the same thing about O’Reilly, McCain, Scott Brown, etc. He is about as conservative—and entertaining—a talk host as we can get in Boston and New England and he has had a successful column and 3 successful books. One book is perhaps headed to become a TV series.

Your dissent is noted but I will not let down my ping list subscribers. The more you complain, the more I am determined to keep this thing going. You are welcome to
not read the ping list if you’re offended, or to offer
your own dissenting opinions.

Howie Carr forever.

He has veered back and forth between Romney and the likes
of Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich (he had Newt on several times but admittedly ambushed him on the day of the NH primary with a bunch of questions about his sudden
attacks on capitalism), etc. If Gingrich should win the nomination he will probably support him.

Though to be honest, perhaps in jest (see a post further up
this thread), Romney “offered” Mitt an appointment to the U.S. Senate should Kerry have won in ‘04. Romney did help
get rid of Billy Bulger and Matt Amorello. He did have a tough time dealing with a 98 per cent Senate. True,
he did offer Romneycare. True, he couldn’t get Republicans elected to the state legislature but...this is Massachusetts. The best we can do is RINOs. Wait till we
get Elizabeth Warren and Joe Kennedy III in, though.

We’ll see what happens with all this.

I would be opposed to Romney being on the ticket in any capacity. The same factors which would make him a disaster at the top of the ticket would weigh down the ticket if he were in the VP slot.

This is not about dissent.
This is about YOUR pro-Romney,
anti-Palin, anti-Gingrich BS/propaganda.

Your posts concern an incorrigible RomneyBOT who
is to the “left” of Chris Wallace as a RomneyBOT.

Team Romney pushed Scott Brown by LYING and by removing
a primary from Massachusetts, just as Team
Romney is depriving voters in VA.

Rebellion is on, and although it is conservative,
and your posts are not. Have a good day.

_____________________________________

Maybe not

but that doesnt mean he will never think those two words

or the equivilant..

after all he sustains the Mormon prophet and all the Mormon teachings..

and he never has denounced polygamy...

only life in the desert...

“polygamy out there in the desert”

Well what about polygamy in the mountains of Utah ???

and whos to say he has never cheated on his wife ???

or thought about it in his heart ???

The LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible said that if a man lusts after a woman in his heart it is the same as though he had actually committed the sin...

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28

and the author doesnt know what is in the heart of Williard Mitt Romney...

Only God knows that...

The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” Jeremiah 17:20
