Here's some background info in what Don Adams was made of, from his Wikipedia entry:

That being said, I hope Senator Santorum can rehabilitate his public personality, and quickly, as we need all the popular and active public pro-life politicians we can get our hands on....

Onto the illegal alien question. Santorum differentiates himself from the others with the hardest line. Paul being halfway incoherent on the question. Rambling, rambling, incoherent....finally gets to his "point".
