He urged Reagan to address the NAACP, an organization founded by blacks and white Republicans and made up of blacks to support blacks, and thats called racist?Fixed it, for those who don't know that the first president of the NAACP was a white Republican, Storey, Moorfield, from Boston (18451929).

Ouch. You sure know how to hurt a guy don’t you. LOL
I will say that the goals of the NAACP in 1945, probably weren’t as illogical as they are today.

Almost everything since his bimbo eruption and forced resignation from congress certainly is indicative of that possibility. But one can hope otherwise.

Sorry, I screwed up the name when I copied it. Should be Moorefield Storey. He was the first president of the NAACP, and was a white Republican.

Hell, Romney was a member of a racist church in 1978.
So was Obama in 2008.

The way I view it, any of these racism charges against Newt are meant to smear all of us who support him too and Juan Williams knows Newt personally so I view him as too far gone in his liberal views to ever be intellectually honest.

None of the GOP candidates have ALL the parts and pieces. The one who comes close for me is Newt Gingrich. His dialogue and his attitude remind me of a political version of Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry" character... crude, but a solid advocate for basic justice in an intended Neanderthal way.
Honestly, if anything were to change it would have to be under the circumstances that a "Dirty Harry" just started BLASTING with his .44 magnum.
To: redstateone
That was good. Contrast that with Ron Paul’s writings around the same time.

I don’t think Williams would call Newt a racist for this.
The article was written by Wynton Hall, not Juan. Perhaps I’m not catching the connection, and if so I apologize.
For a Lefty, Juan can surprise you at times. He’s not generally your vitriolic hater like so many of them are. And yes, even though I detest the use of that word the way it’s tossed around these days, it truly does fit when you’re talking about the Marxists out there these days.

Juan was irate on Hannity’s radio show yesterday saying Newt mentioned wanting to talk to the NAACP regarding the poor children and it sounded like he was racist talking about blacks therefore and Hannity had to calm him down and say “You know the Speaker is not a racist.” Then Juan went on the show “The Five” and said the same thing and Eric Bolling had to try to talk sense into him. Now we have Jimmy Carter chiming in.

The letter this thread discusses disproves the racism charges of the last few days.

Okay, thanks. I hadn’t heard that. That makes sense.
I surprised Juan would go this route. He knows better than this. What is it with Leftists, and their morals anyway.
