We loved our lincoln logs. Got them for the grandchildren 50 years later!! The older ones were better.

Lincoln logs, the original legos. :) I grew up (err...to the extent I was ever going to) in the North.
In grade school a teacher said that in the South they sold them as "Pioneer Logs."
(Although I have lived the greater part of my life in the Southwest and the South, I have not found any corroboration of this.)
