Did you have to be dug out of the snow by the National Guard?

That’s a lot of snow going on in Alaska — some might call it winter.
I sure don’t envy you.

We have mostly temps in the teens at night and early a.m. with a lot of ice patches.

The snow keeps trying and it is sticking, but not large amounts yet.

They had to bring the National Guard into Cordova to help with digging out.

This photo gallery is what brought the NG out to Cordova. It is not accessible by road, only water or air.

Good morning, DJs. As always, thanks for your hard work.

I have a special request. I am starting a prayer group at our church that I'm looking for specific music to be a part of.

I'm sure by now we've all heard the Tea Party Marine sing the fourth verse of The Star Spangled Banner which contains the line, "Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, and this be our motto, in God is our Trust."

I'm looking for songs along those lines. Patriotic, yet with references to God, Heaven, Jesus, etc.

I recently discovered that we have a National Hymn. It's called God Of Our Fathers. But that's just between you and me. I'd hate for The ACLU to find out.

I also found a song sung by The Promise Keepers called "If My People". Great, great song taken from 2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by My Name, will seek My Face, and humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and heal their land.

Then, of course, there's the line in "America" that goes, "Our Father God to Thee, Author of Liberty, To Thee we sing".

Anyway, to get to the point, if you know of or have any such songs in your arsenal, I would be eternally grateful to be able to add them to my playlist.
