New Poll: Gingrich Attack Ads Against Romney Working in SC
National Review - The Corner ^ | 1-12-2012 | Maggie Gallagher

Posted on 01/12/2012 8:14:11 PM PST by TitansAFC

Instead of getting a bounce, Romney’s poll numbers are sinking in South Carolina. As I suggested, this ad attack is powerful. He’s followed it up by painting him as governing pro-abortion. Krauthammer is right — Romney’s got to show he can respond.

If these attacks work in a Republican primary, imagine how effective Obama will find them in November.

BTW, no signs yet that the negative ads are hurting Gingrich, either.

Yeah, we should just give up and kiss Romney’s $10k ring.

Dems already planned on using it against him.

It doesn’t matter if it comes out now or in October.

The nominee will be Romney and Gingrich is giving the Dems their plan of attack.

Oh, yes! In spades! Newt needs to man up, this is part of the race, he’s a whiner, yadayada. Now that he serves up a nice left to the chops, he’s arrogant, a basher of capitalism of all things(!), not conservative, unfair to Romney Ruse. LOL!

This is unmitigated PANIC. To be celebrated. Thankfully, Newt has now a recent boost of cash, to be able to carry on at least through South Carolina and stave off some of the Romney machine damage.

The way Romney treated his dog, imo, is devastating. People that treat their pets like burdensome objects says a lot more about what they’re about than just about anything else. He said the dog liked being in the kennel on top of the car and stays in his kennel alot at home. Sick.

Val and Plouffe are doing the happy dance cuz the GOP is in disarray and putting on a dog and pony show that is not all that funny...

Now that makes sense. I mean, why even have primaries. We should just appoint Romney as our candidate. Right?

LOL! I got you pegged ;)

They're coming out of the closet

HA. HA. HA. So glad to hear this. Soooooooooo glad Newt decided to fight. I didn't really like the super pac ad though. If the speaker had been involved, he could have made a better one I am sure.

Glad he's not picking up blow back from the voters. I bet there's plenty of pressure from the GOP on his supporters to take back endorsements and not contribute. Hope they stay firm. If Newt can win here, he'll get more money and be in better shape to hit Florida.

Can’t understand those on the Board saying an attack on Romney hurts the GOP brand. Who cares if the socialist GOP gets hurt?

Tell that to the MSM to retract those statements.

First of all, your Romney can’t beat Obama ..period, he is a weak candidate in a GE because he is a Liberal.

Secondly, the instant that ObamaCare was passed, Romney was DOA in the General.

And now way Romney wins in Florida...that is a state with lots of factions where the Party isn’t very strong. There will only be one conservative running in Florida....that will be a crushing defeat for Romney.

It is as far as the Republican nomination is concerned. I’m not really sure why Newt took this tack at this time. I think he could make more hay with the list I posted, especially in SC.

Bain would certainly be one of the biggest problems for Mitt in the general to be sure, as you implied, along with the “Gordon Gekko” tag and the Occutards.

The Dems already know they can beat Romney easily, they have had their plan for a while.

Why don't you try to help to defeat him now instead of whining about him being the nominee? He's not you know, and it's far from over. If Romney wins, we are in for a world of hurt. Obama will destroy him easily.

All Newt is going to end up doing is giving material to Obama and Co. to use against Mitt in the general.

LOL. As if the Occupy Wall Street nonsense wasn't cooked up for the specific purpose of using against Romney in the general election.

The Dems and media are positively drooling over the GOP nominating a baggage-ridden loser like Romney.

The shame of it all is Romney IS the third party candidate.
