The Marine Corps said Wednesday that it is investigating the origins of a video on the Internet that purports to show Marines in combat gear urinating on the corpses of three Taliban insurgents.

Personally, I’m disappointed. I hate to see American men acting scummy. I like to think American men are different. But I guess they aren’t. Not anymore. I think the kind of man personified by John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, that sort of man, wouldn’t do something so crass and vulgar. Marines urinating on barbarians, who not only don’t follow western mores, but are sworn to oppose them. As compared to Occupy savages defecating on police cars or their Commander in Chief doing both on the Constitution. On the one hand media can’t hit the broad side of any real scandal. On the other hand our Marines are being hit from the wrong direction. Any student of history knows that the effective way to desecrate such corpses is to build a pyramid out of their skulls. Such was the only successful tactic against these tribes since Alexander the Great.
