I disagree about before SC. But not after SC. IA and NH have quirks that do not make them good barometers of the viability of the GOP candidates. SC does not have those.
You’re celebrating that he’s at 18? That’s half of where he was at before?
This is a horrible poll.
I disagree. A month ago was before there was any voting, so there was no basis for the supporters of any non-Romney candidate to concede and switch their support to another non-Romney candidate. We still as of today do not have sufficient feedback from the actual voters for that to happen. After SC and FL there will be a more substantial basis for conservatives to be asked to switch to their second or third non-Romney choice. It is easy to say we need to consolidate behind one. The trick is to pick the one and get everyone who is committed to ABR to agree.
Occupy hell, the communist party will endorse him tomorrow if he keeps endorsing socialism. The clip Rush just played is a killer.
That’s what our local radio host said today. Or was it Rush?
If Newt wants to do the right thing, he’ll drop out and endorse Santorum or VV. Consolidaton. Only way to defeat Mittens.
Hopefully?
You’d rather see Newt lose than see a conservative win? Ugh!
Doubtful. Dead cat bounce. Santorum’s come from nothing to being a force.
Makes me sick.
Iowa - 120 votes.
88,000 actual Republicans.
New Hampshire 250,000 votes.
______ actual Republicans?
AND THIS IS GOING TO PAVE THE WAY FOR ROMNEY?
Ditto. He is becoming unhinged.
Conservative 40% (Newt+Santorum+Perry)
Romney 30% (N/C)
Wow! That’s great news for the Tea Party! Romney’s in trouble once the conservative vote is not split among 3 candidates!
No, I’d rather see Newt win. Santorum’s only one step above Romney for me. Rick “SOPA” Santorum can go peddle his collectivist big government social conservative agenda elsewhere. I’ll vote for Ron Paul before I vote for Rick Santorum.
Why are you sick? Santorum won Iowa.
That was a victory.
Ok I get it and believe in some repects you are right...we do need to choose our anti-Romney candidate....but I think that is happening currently as voters determine their candidate. I of course want to see Newt as top runner...and I do think that’s exactly how this is going to play out.
PAul will be done very soon and Santorum, though I like him, isn’t what we need for the place our country is at currently...he does not have the fight we need nor the feet to take the steps needed. In “quieter times” I might have considered Santorum but this is not the time for him as President.
I havn’t seen anyone post NH results on FR yet. What’s up with that?
when you look at the graph you can clearly see that Santorum has already peaked and is on the way down, and that Newt is starting to surge again.
Go Newt!
“Ill vote for Ron Paul before I vote for Rick Santorum.”
Says it all.
You should vote for him now, rather than pushing Newt on conservatives.
Santorum is playing spoiler to ensure Romney nomination. shame, but that’s where we are at.
Not really....Santorum split the party further and in doing so Mitt still gets the delegates...and that's what has to be prevented.
Why isn’t it his time? I want to hear more behind this argument.
By what folks are saying, you’d think it was Newt and not Santorum that won in Iowa...
At least 13% undecided based upon these numbers and the Gallup poll sample is likely skewed as well.
