Well, where I come from, the fella who’s behind is the one who drops out, not the fella who’s ahead.

Maybe they do things differently over there?

Actually I was for Cain.

Emphasis for Newt is that Newt WAS ahead. Now he’s fallen behind.

Agreed.

It is so frustrating to know that one year ago we had this election in the bag, but the GOP has just about given it all away.

If Romney wins the nomination, we WILL get another 4 years of Obama.

This truly is the last chance for us to get our country back without bloodshed on our streets.

If we, collectively, do not get behind Newt and very soon, this entire Republic is going to have a very ugly ending..... regrets is all that we will be left, just heart breaking regrets.

I am reminded of this movie scene.

I think rush likes perry the best.

Could be. If he does, he should say something.

I disagree about before SC. But not after SC. IA and NH have quirks that do not make them good barometers of the viability of the GOP candidates. SC does not have those.

WRONG! South Carolina is an open primary in a year when the Democrats have an incumbent, and plenty of them will gladly crossover and vote for Willard, not to mention the Libertarians crossing over and voting for RuPaul.

SC is not a good barometer of GOP candidates. The only purpose that SC will serve is to help the MSM boost Romney by claiming he can win in the South.

Anti-Romney troika is ten points higher than Romney (18+17+5).

And yet, with only 5%, Rick Perry is still in it. Boggles the mind, it does.

I'm leaning hard towards the tin foil on his decision to stay in until South Carolina.

If Newt or Santorum dropped out and endorsed each other then Romney would be toast.

We'd better hope like hell that Santorum is the one that drops out. He can't beat Mitt, and there's no way in hell that he's gonna beat Obama.

On the other hand, our blast from the past, the junkyard dog, can and will get both jobs done.

If Newt wants to do the right thing, he’ll drop out and endorse Santorum

You want Newt to drop out because Santorum's enjoying a momentary bounce in the polls? Have you forgotten that Santorum has been polling near or at the bottom, throughout the primaries?

He's about to fade, and you want to throw everything behind him, when so far, he's never really touched Romney's lead? Don't do it.

Of the three conservative candidates left in the race, only Newt has what it takes to knock out Romney, and demolish Obama in the general. He's also the only one who's got the background and skills necessary to navigate the labyrinth of Washington politics, and undo Obama's Socialist mess.

Oh noes! The dreaded blinking CAPS!!!

Game over. You’ve won the argument. I guess we’d all better line up behind Mittens and take our medicine.

since you guys are so right, and can’t be wrong and that Santorum is going to fold, then, I don’t have a horse in this race, I don’t care anymore, so I am not going to vote...

What? You give up?

But you already won the argument with your BLINKING CAPS!

We haven't even completed one lap in this race. Santorum got a good couple of steps on Newt in Iowa, but that's no sure indicator that he can keep it up. Given his dismal polling throughout the primary, I highly doubt that he can.

I was repeating what I heard on talk radio today..not endorsing it.

It’s being said that for the others to drop out and support the front runner would mean that a non Romney could gain momentum.
Who that would be is anyone’s guess. But I doubt it’ll be Newt. He hasn’t handled his anger toward Mitt well in the media and he has bashed Capitalism in the past couple of days.

Well, we go to South Carolina to settle this. Can’t see Newt after his terrible performance tonight having anything to carry over.

It's quite true, too. The anti-Romey vote far outweighs the pro-Romney vote at this point. If all those votes were going to a single candidate, Romney would be knocked out of the contest early on.

You know that news cycles change in the blink of an eye these days. This kerfuffle about what Newt said about Romney, and his alleged anti-capitalist statements, won't stick in the public mind, as the days and weeks go by.

Newt just needs to get back on message and keep hammering it home, and he'll be fine.

Yeah, and Newt is just lighting the world on fire.

Let’s face it we have one more kick at the can to stop Obama, and that’s SC in 11 days.

You gonna tie your boat to Newt? Right now Huntsman has more delegates than he does.

Hunstman? LMAO! Not in a million years and don’t think Mittens is going to do well in SC just because he did in NH.
