Authorities say a 25-year-old described as an Islamic extremist was arrested in a plot to attack sites around Tampa, Florida, after taking possession of disabled guns and bombs
The U.S. Department of Justice announced the arrest of Sami Osmakac on Monday.
Authorities say Osmakac is a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in the former Yugoslavia. He has been charged with one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. His first appearance in federal court is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
Federal officials say a confidential source told them that Osmakac wanted Al Qaeda flags. The federal complaint alleges Osmakac gave the agent a $500 down payment for an AK-47, multiple homemade explosive grenades and the explosive belt so he could attack various locations in Tampa.

They still don’t won’t officially acknowledge why the Fort Hood shooter did his dirty deed. It’s incredible how politicized the leadership has become in these Federal agencies and the military. They spout nothing but PC mantras and White House talking points. A new Republican President needs to clean house from top to bottom. I’d start with the Joint Chiefs and go from there.
It's really a shame that people can no longer tell jokes about this sort of thing, because in any town that has the Buccaneers, the notion that somebody would want to blow up a bar and a Sheriff's station seems nuts. |
Are we sure it’s not attempted “workplace violence”...let’s not jump to conclusions. /sarc
Yes indeed, and written on it, right to left (it's arabic) is "bism" (name of) "Ilah" (Allah) followed by crossed swords, the symbol for jihad. If you read it left to right, it looks astoundingly like the Greek for Chi Xi Stigma,(yes "stigma" not sigma, old Greek for "6"). And that translates to, yup, "six hundred-sixy-six."
Weird, huh?
And often it's worn as a headband, covering the forehead. Think about that a moment. Weird again, no?
Either that or he's a disgruntled Bucs fan.
There’s no other kind of Buc’s fans this year.
Knock me over with a feather (local news report).

And when you get over to St. Petersburg, the streets run north-to-south and the avenues run east-to west. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!
