I know many fine people who are supporting Ron Paul, serious Christians (not the one-day-a-week types), mature individuals, who are as decent as anyone gets. Why? Because they see a budget that is over $1 trillion in the red year after year, and even the Republicans do not have a chance of doing anything about it.

Leeme tell ya something, most working class private sector Americans that are not sitting on their butts collecting some bloated government retirement pensions, have a GD belly full of the endless political lies and insider status quo. We're all being conned by experts who occasionally throw the people a bone, as they laugh themselves silly watching everyone chase it.

Most have had a belly full of the group think groupies that swallow this sh*t as well as the insiders that serve it up to them.

Americans are sick of government playing them for suckers while economically gang raping them as they attempt to control our every move while lining their pockets with our money.

Great video BTW

“a budget that is over $1 trillion in the red year after year, and even the Republicans do not have a chance of doing anything about it.”

Ron Paul was in the U.S. Congress three different periods: first from 1976 to 1977, after he won a special election, then from 1979 to 1985 and finally since 1997. These were precisely the times when the Federal spending got out of control and the politicians got us into our current situation.

You say Republicans don't do anything about it.

Can you name a single specific a thing that Ron Paul ever did when he was in Congress to reduce the problem you complain about?

Ron Paul has done absolutely nothing to help resolve the problems he makes his issues.

Ron Paul has been ineffective as a legislator. He is a long term Washington insider who runs against Washington.

Ron Paul's foreign policy is a regurgitation of the leftist “blame America for everything” and “attack America and support America's enemies”. It is dangerous and borders on the treasonous.

His domestic policy is to be part of the Congress and do nothing and then complain about the Congress and the Federal government.

1) Iran does not have the capability to strike U.S. cities.

2) If Iran strike anyone it will be more likely Israel. Which Israel has Nukes. Rest assure they will fire back. Nevertheless, I don't think Iran is going to strike.

3) Most of the people in Iran do not like that dictator. Oh and he is controlled by the religious cleric too.

Sooo I doubt your situation will ever happen. I've been hearing this for a long time now since 2001. Still nothing... You remember the story of the boy who cried wolf?

“Can you name a single specific a thing that Ron Paul ever did when he was in Congress to reduce the problem you complain about?”

Your question is somewhat irrational to me. Just like any member of the House, he is only one vote out of 435. His voting record does receive “A” ratings from the National Taxpayers Union (fiscal conservative group that promotes lower spending and lower taxes), usually among the highest in the House. And he seems to be talking about cutting spending all the time, and his proposed budget is the only one I have seen that has a chance of solving our debt crisis.

“You say Republicans don’t do anything about it.”

Not exactly what I said. Many Republicans also receive “As” from the NTU, as does my Congressman, I am very happy to say. The problem is that less than half the Republicans have As, and the Republican average is a B. Thus, I fear that even if we have a R House, and a R Senate, and even a R President (which looks like Romney, Newt or Santorum), I doubt that the R’s will have the votes to seriously cut federal spending; at best, they might cut the rate of increase in federal spending.

For example, even Paul Ryan’s Path to Prosperity proposal (which, unfortunately, is too conservative to receive support from all Republicans, thus it has little chance of being adopted) would only project a balanced yearly budget by the year 2030, at the earliest.

Ok, let me try to make it easy for you. Newt Gingrich was a Congressman for far fewer years than Ron Paul. Newt actually accomplished things. Paul Ryan was in Congress far fewer years than Ron Paul. He actually presents ideas and moves the debate. Almost all Republican Congressmen do more than Ron Paul ever did. Ron Paul is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Many Congressmen sponsor legislation, present new ideas and work behind the scenes to try to solve the problem. Ron Paul does none of these things.

Feel better?

“Newt Gingrich was a Congressman for far fewer years than Ron Paul. Newt actually accomplished things. Paul Ryan was in Congress far fewer years than Ron Paul. He actually presents ideas and moves the debate.”

Very true points. Well stated. Newt of the early-mid 1990s era was great! I am also a big fan of Paul Ryan, and I would be much happier if he were running for President –he would be better than any of our remaining candidates.

“Many Congressmen sponsor legislation, present new ideas and work behind the scenes to try to solve the problem. Ron Paul does none of these things.”

I don’t know if those statements are entirely true. Remember that the point of the conversation was to explain how rational, conservative Republicans are frustrated by the Republicans in Congress, from whom (as a group) we expected more in recent years. As an example, just take a look at the 2011 Budget compromise (you know, that whole “Super Committee” fiasco).

I agree. I am very frustrated by some of the Republicans in Congress. The worst offenders are Republican Congressmen like Ron Paul who have been in Congress for many years and yet have done nothing that is useful or effective.

Ron Paul is kinda like a reset button, very painful, but you know what he would do and he would do it quick.

It is the whole “Burn it down now so we can get to rebuilding sooner rather than later”.

We have more than enough “go along to get along” with their own Party types in Congress. Most are group thinking sheep that don’t deserve to serve their constituents. Without a D or R after their name they would not know how to wipe their axx or how to think. We need Congressmen that can think for themselves and more importantly for the absolute greater good of the USA instead of taking oaths or making pledges to anything other than the USA Constitution.

I really like the Judge. No kool aid there. I like out of the box non-indoctrinated thinkers too and the CIA needs more, not less of them.

Better yet, after Congress, for the past 20 plus years has sent the country into an endless pit of debt, blown the national treasure, allowed tens of millions to enter this country illegally, while hundreds of thousands of American jobs were off-shored...What has *anyone* in Congress done to reduce these country killing problems?

1) Iran does not have the capability to strike U.S. cities.
And the Japs are myopic idiot yellow people with biplanes.
Putting aside the fact that Iran is rather openly developing IRBMs, there are other delivery mechanisms. Container ships alone can carry nukes up to a port. Iran has tried purchase Russian 3M-54 Klub-K cruise missiles, which are designed to be launched from containers. They we have the option of putting a nuke on a retired jetliner.

2) If Iran strike anyone it will be more likely Israel. Which Israel has Nukes. Rest assure they will fire back. Nevertheless, I don't think Iran is going to strike.
Only if Israel is sure taht it was an Iranian nuke and not a Pakistani nuke. And other Arab nations are now looking at nuclear programs in response to Iran.
Also, both Achmadenejad and the more "moderate" Rafsanjani have said that they would destroy Israel with one bomb, even if Iran were hit with hundreds. There is no MAD with suicide bombers, especially those who think that a reign of fire will bring the Mahdi.

3) Most of the people in Iran do not like that dictator. Oh and he is controlled by the religious cleric too.
The regime is a religious Oligarchy, not a dictatorship. And Ayatollah Khamanei wants to nuke Israel and America.

Sooo I doubt your situation will ever happen. I've been hearing this for a long time now since 2001. Still nothing... You remember the story of the boy who cried wolf?
Taht Iran is developing nukes has been proven so there is no "crying wolf". And the boy was eaten by a wolf.

But if you are willing to put your money where your ignorant mouth is, lets try this. We do nothing and in exchange, if we are nuked you and everyone taking your position are hanged as traitors for aiding and abetting? Or do you like to hide behind a keyboard and shill for this who yell "Death to America" and spread ignorance?

"Ron Paul is an open borders nut"

That is not true.

If elected President, Ron Paul will work to implement the following common sense reforms:

* Enforce Border Security – America should be guarding her own borders and enforcing her own laws instead of policing the world and implementing UN mandates.

* No Amnesty - The Obama Administration’s endorsement of so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, will only encourage more law-breaking.

* Abolish the Welfare State – Taxpayers cannot continue to pay the high costs to sustain this powerful incentive for illegal immigration. As Milton Friedman famously said, you can’t have open borders and a welfare state.

* End Birthright Citizenship – As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be granted U.S. citizenship, we’ll never be able to control our immigration problem.

* Protect Lawful Immigrants – As President, Ron Paul will encourage legal immigration by streamlining the entry process without rewarding lawbreakers.

As long as our borders remain wide open, the security and safety of the American people are at stake.

"Ron Paul has done absolutely nothing to help resolve the problems he makes his issues.

It is very difficult for a conservative to get anything done in Congress when half the body is Marxist and the other half is Socialist. I am surprised a smart guy like you can't figure that out.

"Congressmen like Ron Paul who have been in Congress for many years and yet have done nothing that is useful or effective"

I am thinking that if we had a congress of nothing but Ron Pauls we would be way better off now then we are. I am incline to think that if the Congress did absolutely nothing for the last 20 or 30 years we'd be way better off now too.

Seems awfully counter productive to blame the one guy that tried to stop the madness for not doing anything when not doing anything was the right thing to do.
