If enough people admit to liking Perry, I think he has a real shot. The media has made people feel like they’d be stupid to even consider Perry and I’m not sure if all that chatter, news, and commentary can be turned around.

Well, they’re analysis is right...no one really went after Mitt very hard....except for that dope who spoke Chinese...the guy who worked for Hussein.

In my eyes, Gingrich has shined, and some of Santorums responses have been very good. Gingrich shined. Santorum is missing something.

Huntsman makes me want to hurlRon Paul has exactly the same effect on me! He is a despicable, lying piece of human waste and nothing more!

I think Rick Perry went all out in Iowa and was a little stunned and disappointed that Santorum won instead.
Of course, Santorum spent a year sitting in Iowa parlors listening to granny talk about her grandkids.
I don’t understand why people find it odd that a person would take some time to reflect and consider his options.
I would want that in a president.
After he thought about it, he realized that bowing out after one caucus defeat would be a betrayal of himself and his supporters and decided to continue through South Carolina.

You are correct that it was Bush's timetable as approved by the Iraqi legislature. However, we have 8,000 US contractors armed to the teeth defending our diplomatic facilities, provinicial reconstruction teams, and NGOs. All of this is now under the direction of the State Department. I predict that we will suffer a significant loss of American lives in Iraq under this arrangement.
Now that the US Army isn't there propping up the Iraqi government or trying to maintain some semblance of neutrality, the Shiites and Sunnis are going to be more worried about killing off each other. Iraq is just a Middle Eastern version of Yugoslavia. You've got a few groups of people who hate each others guts and are never going to completely get along. It's just falling apart a lot faster than Yugoslavia.
And we could very well see a civil war break out damaging our strategic national interests in the region.
Iraq is in 3rd or 4th place on our list of problems in that region. Our biggest problems are our artificial reliance on Middle Eastern oil, an unstable Pakistan and its nukes, and Iran. If we don't address those other problems, Iraq will not matter, and we can prop up Iraq for decades to come, but it still won't address the other three problems.
That's why I liked Gingrich's take on the situation - Pakistan, Iran, and Middle Eastern oil are all much bigger regional problems.

Newt did go after Mitt a few times, but the moderators would switch to an entirely different person after and avoid Mitt giving a rebuttal. Lame.

I like perry but he doesn’t seem quick on his feet at all. I doubt he could beat Obama.
To: Kenny
I’m surprised quite a few freepers haven’t started calling Perry a ‘gun-nut’.

Bingo.
If Huntsman thinks speaking Chinese just to show off, when we’re losing millions of Jobs to dishonest trade practices was going to win him any votes, he’s delusional.
What a dumb thing to do.
He should just go ahead and quit now.
IMHO that exchange was Romney’s strongest of the debate. We need more of that from Republicans.
Santorum also did well on that. Santorum is now a strong second in this race after tonight.
Formidable.
I’m impressed with Santorum.

BTW, I hate Mitt even more than I hated McCain, but Ill do whats necessary in November.
- - - - -
Which is exactly what Mitt wants.
What is necessary is to get Mitt the hell out of the Primary and vote for a real conservative.
I will NEVER EVER EVER vote for Mitt!
