All that’s left of the GOP runners are left of left Wannabes.

The democrats are doing a great job of choosing the republican candidate they want to run against. The result is democrats win either way.

Free Republic members and Tea Partiers want to push the Conservative agenda

If that is true, why would people call and say, please endorse Dede Scozzafava's BFF? If I called and said, "I am a tea partier, who speaks only for myself" I would ask him to endorse Perry.

Sorry, Newt has played the reaching-across-the-aisle game too long.

He won a majority for the GOP in 94 with his Contract with America and then promptly tore that contract to pieces.

He was able to push through a conservative agenda and aid the economy only because Clinton had lost majorities and had several scandals that compromised his ability to rule from the hard left.

Newt’s support of AGW (and all the socialist governmental control that it entails) combined with his support of amnesty for criminals in our country puts him in the Romney camp of Democrat-lite.

If you want to settle for the lesser of two evils, you are free to do so. I have for the past two decades. I will not do so again.

DeMint should endorse Perry.

Yes, and I predict that he will do just that.

I didn’t, because I don’t need to, because I’ve already seen them.

Refuting Gore and then turning around supporting the government that is in the same direction that Gore wants is not a winner for me. Refuting Gore and then proving that man is NOT responsible for any type of climate change and that therefore the environmental restrictions on man’s business and personal activities needs to be lifted is a huge winner for me.

Just as Romney stating he will undo Obama’s state-run medical control is not a winner for me. Romney could have and should have used his Romneycare as an example of failed government-run healthcare in order to defeat Obama’s state-run medical control. Instead, we find the latter was blueprinted based on the former. Romney has blown it with me, too.

Look, we are, in fact, at the edge of the cliff. It is possible in a theoretical view to fix this economy. But the hardships that this would require, I believe, are far too severe for what the spoiled-rotten masses will endure. It would require a hardcore conservative with incredible leadership abilities to prevent the financial Armageddon that I believe is inevitable. So my thinking is, if we can’t get that candidate, we sure as hell should not give them a RINO. If we do, when the economy collapses in the next 4 years, as it seems most likely, the left will blame the collapse on “conservatism,” “capitalism,” “the free market,” and the “mean-spirited Republicans.”

I will vote only for a hardcore conservative who understands where we are. I’d rather the left win the offices and to allow the collapse to land fully in their laps so that there will be no doubt and they will never be trusted again.

I do not believe that Newt is the leader we so desperately need.

Didn’t DeMint say he wouldn’t endorse anyone until a nominee is selected?

The rinos can’t deny Gingrich’s solid record of conservative accomplishment. Which of the other candidates have lowered taxes, reformed welfare, created jobs in the private sector, and balanced the federal budget, all while fighting a hostile press and a Democrat White House?

Why do you feel that your support for Newt entitles you to make snarky comments about Perry and Perry supporters?

When will you people learn that this alienates people who might end up supporting the candidates you favor.

Some posters I’ve dealt with lately make me want to hate Newt because of their nastiness.

However, I don’t hate Newt. He’s my second choice.

But jeeze.

I don’t think Barack Obama is the one we desperately need. I think we need somebody to replace him... Newt, though imperfect, is a fighter, and can dismantle the machine. That alone, is worthy of a vote. You are handing America over to the ones who will manage its decay, and then making excuses for yourself. I am from a military family, what Obama intends to do to the military in the next 4 years, is reason enough to vote for anybody but Paul to replace him. You have to get some perspective. I know the republicans have disappointed you before, but you can’t be feeling like this, it isn’t good for you or America.

Don’t vote for the collapse.

Newt supports amnesty, Demint does not.

Newt supported the biggest expansion of the entitlement program, the Medicare prescription Drug Program, Demint did not.

Newt supported the concept of manmade global warning and the need for the government to take urgent action, Demint does not.

If DeMint doesn’t endorse until the primaries are over, then he’s not endorsing period.

Unless you think he’d endorse Obama.

Newt still says Manmade Global Warming is real and I can’t get over it. I want Santorum or Gingrich but this is a huge problem. Santorum is the social conservative.

Pray for America

In 2008, Demint endorsed Romney. He has said that he will not endorse Romney this time unless he admits that Romneycare was a mistake. I suspect that he will endorse no one before the SC primary similar to what Steve King did in Iowa. Both may eventually endorse a candidate before the primaries are over.

I think so but most endorsements don't mean much to me one way or the other. Its especially true of politicians making endorsements.

Frankly its starting to sound like the only standard many conservatives have is how angry a candidate is and how much he or she hates Mitt Romney. As of this morning Paul Babu is on the ever growing enemies list because he likes Mitt Romney. I don't like Mitt Romney but I'm not going to set out to destroy anyone because they disagree or worse, don't agree enough.

Personally I'm predicting disaster in the coming election and it won't be the fault of the GOP establishment this time.

Newt is an absolutely brilliant historian and a fantastic debater. Nobody can surpass him in these aspects. Let there be no question.

But he also has been portrayed successfully by the MSM as an unstable person and an angry whiner. This portrait may be unfair, but it isn’t going to change.

Moreover, whether you and I like it or not, the American people simply are not going to elect as POTUS a man who they think is an unstable person and an angry whiner.
