The wanted poster asks for Albany Police Officer Richard Gorleski's address, phone numbers, and email address as well as a map to his home and a picture of it.
Occupy Albany member Bradley Russell admits he made the poster and posted it on Facebook.
"I have made no threats and I don't want any threats made," Russell tells FOX23 News. "I have no intention of going after this man. On the other hand, if a peaceful drum circle were to show up at his house one day and protest his actions individually [...] I think that would be a legitimate kind of shaming."
Russell also posted pictures showing him both before and after he was pepper sprayed at Albany's Academy Park on December 22nd.
Russell takes issue with the police department's account that protesters tried to grab at a mounted officer's reigns.
"Nobody was pulling him," Russell says. "Nobody was touching him. Nobody was going for his reigns and I was right there."
Russell says Officer Gorleski was out of line.
"He was enraged," says Russell. "He had lost control."
Other Occupiers are quick to point out that Russell does not speak for the entire group but they understand why he's upset.
Occupier Colin Donnaruma tells us, "I think that the real question isn't what poster did someone make but why did a police officer ride into a peaceful crowd shooting pepper spray and injuring non-violent protesters who were out there in the middle of a political speak-out."
Albany Police stand by their actions and condemn the postings.
"It's reprehensible that they would target one individual because they're unhappy about the outcome last Thursday," says Officer James Miller, spokesman for Albany's Department of Public Safety.
Police across the Hudson River are involved too because they say Officer Gorleski's parents have been getting phone calls at their Troy home.
Captain John Cooney says there haven't been any threats or criminal activity but there was malice in the Facebook posts.
"By attaching the word 'wanted' and asking for photos of his home and the home address to be listed out there to what's become a very radical group in some ways - that's crossing the line," says Captain Cooney.
Bradley Russell is an adjunct professor at the College of Saint Rose and the college says he will be teaching there next semester.
When reached on his cell phone on Friday afternoon, Officer Gorleski declined to comment.
Russell's controversial postings have been taken off Occupy Albany's Facebook page.

There’s a major institution of higher learning for you! Cripes! Remember how the frat brothers would take the pledge for a ride 500 miles away, strip him naked, smear peanut butter all over his body and shave his head before they dumped in some wilderness? Hey Brad, wanna go for a ride. It’s a beautiful evening!

Obama’s SA at it again.
Right there is blatant lie number one. If asking for public disclosure of this office's personal details isn't directly "going after this man" then what is it?
d*ckless fag
Adjunct Professor at College of St. Rose
The guy is probably just trying to move up in the world... from a lowly adjunct prof at some small college to the big time. Maybe even a full professorship at Columbia!

I am not a big fan of the OWS protesters (by any means), but not sure who I like less, cops or the protesters....
I don’t have a problem with people posting information about cops, they are govt employees being paid by taxpayers, they shouldn’t get to operate in secrecy, like some KGB agents of bygone days.
If that is an example of his spelling, posted on the equivalent of his on-line resume', he may be searching for a while for that "permemant" position.
God save us from these 'academics'.
How the heck can a “drum circle” be peaceful?
I dont have a problem with people posting information about cops, they are govt employees being paid by taxpayers, they shouldnt get to operate in secrecy, like some KGB agents of bygone days.”
I got a problem with a cop, I know right where to find him on any day he is on duty. Even better, I can talk to his boss anytime. I don’t need to know where he lives or where his wife and kids and dog live.
Family phone numbers and home addresses are off limits. IMHO.
And that isn’t only for cops. That’s for you and me too - private citizens. Just because you don’t like someones employer does not give you the right to harass their families.
These leftist fanatics will stop at nothing to intimidate those that oppose them. In their mind they can do no wrong and all their acts are justified. That is a dangerous mind-set.
What is ‘secret’? If you contact his department, they are obligated to provide his name, position, salary, date of hire - all of the things that are in the public’s legitimate right to know as the payers of taxes and ultimately his salary.
They will not however, provide you with his kids’ names, what school they attend and directions to his house, any more than your employer would or should. There is professional, and there is personal. Should we not respect the difference?
"a mounted officer's reigns"
Touche’.
