the problem is, in liberal America women like Bachmann or Palin are called stupid and told to get back to the kitchen.
Depending on where she is when the race comes to Michigan, my vote will be for her or Santorum. I doubt either will beat Romney here but the only chance of someone other than Romney here went out with Herman Cain.
She lost me quite some time ago, disappointingly so, when she started attacking the other candidates with half truths, reacting like a wounded animal. Her desperation and shrillness was a turnoff. She, in my opinion, is reaching way beyond her capabilities and should stay at the congressional level where she is much more useful.
Sorry, I lost all respect for Bachmann when she sent Ed Rollins out to kneecap her “friend” Sarah Palin, whom she insisted that she “loves.”
Bachmann also never seriously went after Mitt Romney because she had a contingency plan to be his running mate.
What a fraud and a hypocrite!
Live by the knife in the back, die by the knife in the back. Bachmann is political toast, and it’s by her own doing.
Not knowing that Concord NH is not Concord MA and not knowing that John Wayne Gacy is not John Wayne makes it hard to believe she is prepared for the biggest executive job in history. She seems nice, bright and politically well adjusted, I just don’t think she’s up to the job and we just got a painful lesson in how well that works.
spinal fortitude is no substitute for having held a statewide office and having executive experience. Bachmann is right on her principles, but the wrong person for the job.
Here’s my humble prayer that next Wednesday Bachmann is still in the running. We need her as president
No, only conservatives diss her, well the others do too.
Sad, but she stands no chance. I would vote for her in a heartbeat, but conservatives don’t cotten to proven conservatives. That is how beaten down conservatives have become. Always settling for fakes or the only next best.
Bachmann and Palin’s ultimate career and therefore most consequential political decisions (revealing their true CONSERVATIVE souls) will be who to endorse THIS cycle.
NEWT GINGRICH
or
Willard Romney
I STRONGLY suggest they decide wisely. If either endorses the Massachusettes Liberal, their conservative career is toast, imho.
The extended debate schedule has acomplished exactly what its political establishment and media organizers intended.
It has knee-capped Tea Party candidates and other conservative leaning candidates.
But she has eviscerated Newt while paying scant attention to much less conservative Romney so yes it does appear she is covering her bases.
and yes I too liked her once and thought the Palinista extremists who attacked her here once she took off early and saw her as a threat to our dear Sarah ...who never even announced btw...were nasty and vile folks.
One of whom in particular who blasted Bachmann early on in his/her usual spite is now all glowing over her right on this thread....shows how shallow some here are.
I did not appreciate her tear down of Gingrich. I think she has stumbled elsewhere too and just appears diminished in debates compared to the men. It takes a different sort of woman not to do that on stage next to men...I think Palin could have likely.
For the record...I too like Santorum and he may have a future down the road.
But his ACU voting record is an 86-88 and Newt's is a 94.
I'm sure as is the wont of many here that is irrelevant. Facts like polls and ratings are considered meaningless here unless they ape the poster's position.
This race is now Newt's brain versus Romney's money and good looks. The rest is just bullshite and candidates vying to get book deals and TV shows or slots in the next administration....and then there is Ron Paul...what a nut
Yes, all conservatives are consistently for corn subsidies. We need to subsidize corn farmers even more, so they can continue their efforts towards greenness and protecting us from global warming!
While I'll probably vote for her if Santorum is out, I don't like that she is in bed with big corn and wasting money on ethanol initiatives. That negates any thoughts of her being a "true conservative".
I predict that Michele Bachmann will come in dead last in Iowa.
There was a time that I supported Bachmann, but can stand to even hear her voice anymore.
Even after she loses miserably in Iowa, she probably won’t drop out until her bill collectors run her off.
But things aren’t all bad for Bachmann, she can still go off and work as a tax attorney and raise a couple dozen kids..
Check out this really powerful endorsement of Michele Bachmann.
