(AP) COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Maldives has ordered hundreds of luxury resorts to close their spas after protesters demanded a halt to "anti-Islamic" activities.
The Indian Ocean archipelago with 1,192 tiny coral islands is known for its exquisite resorts.
A statement from the president's office said the government decided to close massage parlors and spas in the Maldives after an opposition-led religious protest last week called for their closure.

Why would any sane country allow muslims to immigrate so that they can turn it into the hell hole they just left?
I can see all those high rise resorts and luxury home sites in Qatar going dark as the Dark Ages return.
A poor, unemployed Muslim is a Muslim with no options other than what his clerics tell him to do for a meager handout.
They would rather the people be poor, than risk cultural contamination from infidels.
Substitute any Democratic Party subgroup for the "M" word and your thesis still stand true !

My thought, too.
Muslims and leftists have been working as close allies for some time, even though they would see to have very different views about such things as the rights of women and gays.
Another analogy would be Communists and Nazis. Hitler and Stalin worked together very happily, dividing up Poland. It was only when they had eliminated their other rivals that they fell out with each other.
Presumably the same would be true of the Muslims and the leftists. They’ll continue to work together until they think they see victory within reach. Then they’ll turn on each other for final dominance.
Their views align closely. Both are for rigid state control over the common people.
In the West, the left campaigns for women and gays, because in doing so they increase the power of the government via anti-discrimination enforcement. But they are silent about the treatment of women and gays in Islamic countries because speaking out would not result in an increase of government power.

True. As long as clinton supported “abortion rights” and other issues dear to their leftist hearts, the ladies at NOW gave him a free pass on raping as many women as he liked.
Everyone here must've missed the pity show they put on a while ago - playing cards under water to "protest" global warming which would inundate their poor little muzzie heaven.
They just figured out that the global warming scam will net them billions more (of Western money) than tourism ever could! And now they're just adding the "insulted by the wicked West" muzzie angle. Piling shiite onto crap! Now YOU will pay them without ever going there!
I would never vacation in a spot where Sunni Islam is the state religion.
To paraphrase H.L. Mencken, Islam is the haunting fear that somewhere, someone may be happy.
The best thing we could possibly do would be to isolate the Muslim world.
Deport as many muzzies as possible back to their native hell-holes, then seal the worldwide border with them. Conduct no business with Islamic nations, exchange no information and sell them nothing.
Without our technology, funding and commerce, the Islamic world would shrivel up and disappear into the desert sands within a few generations.
And as a side benefit of isolating them — we could avoid the Final Crusade!
Now, Maldives is hurting their own economy. We should not give aid to them to make up for their own bad decisions. Of course, the should apply across the board, including in this country.
If the Global Warmists are right, rising sea levels should take care of the problem in a few years.
