“...that sanctions can lead to war.”

What’s your point, ruPaul is really an international relations dream for us? Anything can lead to war, Sparky.

How’d we get into WWI?

Pual is very good on domestic policy and small constitutional government and insane on foreign policy. I just do not understand how anyone can be so right and so wrong at the same time. It boggles my mind. lol, I am missing Sara big time.

Don’t be so sure that Dems will vote for Paul just so republicans look like morons. My brother voted for Obama, is fed up with him and likes Ron Paul. He especially likes his pacifism.

Drives me nuts.

Isnt it sad how the GOP establishment were SO terrified of Sarah Palin running, remember how they would all trash her and say how if she won the nomination Obama would win, yet they have NO problem with Ron Paul running..now THAT boggles the mind LOL. The only thing I agree with Ron Paul about is getting rid of the EPA, maybe ending the fed, other then that guy is so far gone

I know my brother voted for Obama, he denies it but defends him constantly..when I bring up Ron Paul he says “Is the GOP really going to nominate that mental patient?” I think your brother is in the minority though, Democrats who will cross over to vote for Paul so he gets the nomination are not voting for him because they agree with him, at least I dont think so, they see Paul as the candidate Obama can easily beat

It is not Paul’s age that is an issue, it is his idiot foreign policy ideas that are the problem.

I’m confident that, if asked, Ron Paul would blame the crucifixion of Jesus around 33 AD on the United States foreign policy and then the Jews. He’d also say it’s okay if Rome has nukes.

Economics and Resources are at the root of most wars fought in human history.

As for WWI by the end of 1916 France and England owed the US over $3 billion from the war. If the allied powers lost we weren’t ever going to get those debts repaid. These debts most certainly played a major role in the US’s decision to declare war on Germany.

You mean, I don’t follow HG’s Rules for Radicals? (and I haven’t forgotten that you’re not real positive about doctors and medicine.)

Here is some info on embargoes and sanctions through American history, if you are interested. Seems like a legitimate site. They cite their sources, etc.

It is basically a historical account of all (most? seems pretty comprehensive) of the instances of sanctions/embargoes through US history, whether they were successful, outcomes, etc.

I wouldn't put it exactly that way.

you’re not real positive about doctors and medicine

That's a nice way to put it.

What’s charismatic about him? I can understand Clinton or Obama. Here we have a crazy old coot yapping some insane pacifist nonsense. Nothing will ever change him, even if US is nuked he still wont attack anybody for it: he will say either we brought it on ourselves, or its a Mossad conspiracy to take us to war against peaceful Muslims, etc..

I could say the same thing about Obama, there is NOTHING charismatic about him..whenever I would see him smile I would say he is such a phony..that smile is SO fake! Paul also said the 1993 World Trade Center bombing was done by the Mossad, yeah that makes sense LOL..I dont know if Paul actually believes the BS coming out of his mouth of psychologically he doesn’t want to win and is just spewing the most idiotic garbage in hopes of losing, I can’t figure him out

I think you missed the comparison. Geographically the USA is far from Iran, just as China is far from the Gulf of Mexico. At least you got to toss the words “idiot” and “imbecile” out there as if contributing to a conversation.
