Obamas enjoy multi-course tasting menu By Jonathan Easley - 12/29/11 07:35 AM ET
President Obama enjoyed a five-to-seven course tasting menu Wednesday night at a dinner in Honolulu with first lady Michelle Obama and 10 friends.
The dinner at Alan Wong's restaurant in Honolulu comes as the president enjoys his annual holiday break in Hawaii, a vacation nearly cut short by the fight over taxes with Republicans in Washington.
The Obama's are regulars at Wong's restaurantboth gave head chef Wong a hug upon entering before being taken to their traditional table, which Wong describes as the feng shui seat in the house, according to the pool reports.
The Obamas were part of a group of ten, which included the presidents sister, and the party ordered off a special tasting menu a multi-course meal designed specifically by the chef.
The Obama party had a special 5-course tasting menu for $75 a person, $105 per person with wine pairings for each course," according to the pool report. "Highlights include "Sassey Salad" and bacon wrapped pork loin, according to CNNs Peter Morris, who the pool report said was at the restaurant when the president arrived.
Other diners generally didn't notice the president's arrival, the pool report said.
The Obamas spent about three hours at the restaurant before returning to their rental at around 11 p.m.
Before the dinner, Obama hit the links, spending nearly seven hours at the Koolau golf club with Mike Ramos, Greg Orme and long-time friend Robert Titcomb, who earlier this year plead no contest to soliciting a prostitute in Honolulu.
Wait a second ! He ate a BACON WRAPPED PORK LOIN ??
This is hugh !
He gets to have high end meals every day in the White House and can Golf in the NE for a fraction of the cost. It is the obscene amount of money he spends on his trips and is acting like a rap star bringing a huge entourage with him whenever he leaves DC.

According to a Golf Digest article from 2008, Eisenhower played golf more than 800 times during his presidency.

No wonder he accomplished nothing really memorable as president.
P.S.
Generals have never made good presidents.
Good generals, yes and maybe. Good presidents, no.
Given it is in Mexico, if you get off the fairway, they may never find you either. I like desert golf a lot as well, some of the courses in Phoenix/Scottsdale are awesome, green ribbons of fairway surrounded by cactus and desert.
Titcomb is more than just a golfing partner. Before the internet scrub, news reports were that he was soliciting guys and back in their younger days he was part of the Choom Gang.
Hussein’s new buddies aren’t going to approve of the bacon wrapped pork loin.
Eisenhower: a round of golf then a heart attack, another round of golf and another heart attack. The way of his presidency. The country was safe.
Obama: a round of golf with a queer, another round of golf with another queer. The way of his presidency. The country has gone to hell.
I certainly don't feel he's Christian.
I live in Phoenix....the desert courses here are NOT for amateurs or 1st timers cause if you cannot hit a drive 220 yards, you are in the s%&*
The local snootery charges the same prices.
As it should be.
It's interesting to watch how liberals take such pride in their elite leaders spending and acting like royalty as they pander to the "make everyone equal" crowd.
Let me know if you'd like to be on the golf ping list. The 2012 season is right around the corner
just a bunch of queers and lesbians doin what queers and lesbians do
How many of those 7 hours do you think Bammy spent in the locker room with this guy... away from Secret Service eyes?
I am thinking the Obum likes golf more for the locker rooms (showers, ala Penn State Sandusky?) than for the golfing.
But, the press tells us he is the GREATEST Dad ever! and the model Family man!
I despise the leftist and moderate media. We need truth in media, not propaganda.
I played Ko’olau many years ago when it was Japanese owned. Beautiful course that is sculpted out of three levels of the mountain. You do not want to walk this course. It is also one of the most expensive courses I’ve played. Not just in green fees, but the number of balls you lose from the narrow fairways and unbelievable deep rough. If Barry is a mid- to high- handicapper, he probably lost two dozen balls....on the front nine.
“Generals have never made good presidents.”
Um... George Washington?
You know Bammy+Moochelle like to hang with JayZee+Beyonce. Bammy and JayZee admire what each other has done. Bammy Boy fancies himself being a rap star enthralling his audiences while that thug mo-ron JayZee fantasizes about being President
Probably shouldn't be using "gave head" and "wong" in the same sentence when hangin' around O'Bummor!
Larry said SO!
Hmmmmmmm....
