In a crushing blow to academic freedom, Harvard University has censored and fired a prominent professor because university administrators didn't like what he said about Islam. The tenured professors at Harvard, who cannot be fired in order to protect their freedom to express themselves, have failed to rally to the cause of the fired professor -- and worse, the expulsion was occasioned in part by a faculty vote:
At a meeting of Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, faculty members voted with an "overwhelming majority" to remove two economics courses - 'Quantitative Methods in Economics and Business' and 'Economic Development in India and East Asia' - that Mr Swamy teaches at the three-month Harvard Summer School session.
Harvard has dropped economics courses taught by a Hindu professor, Subramanian Swamy, president of the Janata Party of India and a former Union Cabinet minister, because of something that had nothing to do with economics: he wrote an editorial that Muslims find offensive. And now the Harvard Crimson has added insult to injury by applauding this decision and declaring a barbarian's war on the founding principle of this great nation

Harvard lives in a dream world. As for sinking, Harvard sank a long time ago.
A Harvard degree in anything other than science, math, or engineering....is a joke.
And we won’t even start about their “law” school....after all, they actually accepted and graduated the Cretin-in-Chief.
Who would have thought that the once mighty left would have bowed before “superstition?” And to think we have a whole raft of conservatives who make a living telling us that the Left is morally superior, on what basis can one come to that conclusion I must ask?

Guess they aren't smart at all.
I wouldn’t spend a penny of my money at that place
And Scalia and Roberts
Was that talk show Jay Severin or Micheal Graham. Seems a little deep for Howie.
Harvard? Isn’t that some kind of Danish cheese?
Please see my post The Moslem Conquest (of India) from back in 2004.

They quibble the details, and then spend an inordinate amount of time trying to cleanse their ranks of people that Mommy Prof and Media Mopey dislike. It used to be done by political hacks such as George Romney and his hysterical attacks on Barry Goldwater, then it carried forth on the small minds of the Bob Dole/Gerald Ford/Bob Michael types and now since the rise of conservative media the small minds there spend their time trying to make the conservative movement “respectable” to left.

Todays Harvard: A far cry from its beginning purposes and teaching of the founders.
Harvard College was founded in “Christi Gloriam” and later dedicated “Christo et Ecclestiae.” The founders of Havard believed that:
All knowledge without Christ was vain.
The word Veritas, still on the college seal, means divine truth. The motto of Harvard was officially:
For Christ and the Church.
Harvard: University of Dhimmitude
June 16, 2010 - “Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, noted Harvard University accepted a $20 million gift from Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz in 2005 that was used to establish a center for Islamic Studies in his honor.”
Several major US universities have accepted such grants under the tacit understanding that Islam will be given preferential treatment, and that no criticism of Islam will be tolerated. In addition to grants, some are offered extension schools in Saudi Arabia, as long as no other religions are even mentioned, nor anything else offensive to Saudi sensibilities, and no Jewish personnel are permitted.
(I’ll add as a note that Sessions did confuse Harvard University with Harvard Law School, which are administratively two different institutions under the same umbrella organization, the latter being a graduate school.)
In fact the origin of *all* the so-called "ivy league" schools were to educate clergymen. How far have they fallen...
