Could "Fast and Furious" eventually become President Obama's Watergate? (CNN!)
CNN ^ | 12/21/2011 | Jack Cafferty

Posted on 12/21/2011 1:54:22 PM PST by PhilosopherStone1000

"President Obama's Watergate" is how some critics describe the growing controversy over the "Fast and Furious" gun walking program.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa wants Attorney General Eric Holder to appear before his committee early next year. Issa says the hearing will focus on what Justice Department officials should have done to stop the program.

People have died. This entire set of events is a conglomeration of multiple acts of war: against Mexico and against the US citizens.

And because the ‘government’ is investigating itself, no one will take the fall.

From where I stand, the money hole of DC is a sinkhole of villainy that prides itself on smashing every Democrat-engendered action as anti-matter against the matter of the US Constitution. The Republicans have no courage.

And 0bama, Holder, Kagan, Sotomayor, Reid, Pelosi, Hoyer and Wasserman-Schultz are quite pleased to wipe their knee-deep, s#hit-covered feet on you.

The only guy that outdone her is the FOX guy with the French sounding name.

I wouldn't say that. I have heard his reports and they often include false information, misleading information and incomplete information.

Whoa! CNN late to the party, but if Dumb0 has lost the Communist News Network, he's toast. Apparently Cafferty will discuss this in the 5 pm hour.

Do I detect Hillary in the room?

Holder goes, Dumb0 goes.

I really doubt it. There are zillion Harvard Law-educated supporters out there who are at least as liberal as Holder out there that are willing to protect 0bama.

you mean... could a plan hatched at the highest levels that involved the probable killing of people, definitely mexicans and potentially Americans, in order to undermine the 2nd amendment of the Constitution all in the name of their ideology?

yea... i think it’s a bit of a freakin problem. a tad more then listening in on campaign strategies

Let's say this again:

Holder and the Obama Administration also actively lied to Congress under oath about the details of the program.

The Obama Administration also provided money laundering for Mexican drug gangs and lied about that under oath.

The Obama Administration also suborned perjury from lower level Administration officials and conspired to mislead Congress."

0bama, Pelosi, Reid, Holder, the DNC and their media eunuchs have thus made the US into a state sponsor of terrorism with Fast and Furious. THEY are TERRORISTS.

No it shouldn’t be his watergate. There were no dead Mexicans, ICE agents, or border patrol agents at the Watergate hotel. Arming a drug cartel to create a crisis that has as its end goal the disarming of law abiding citizens that resulted in dead law enforcement officials and Mexican nationals is considerably worse than the political dirty tricks of watergate.

Recognize the “encouraging words” of “Obama’s Watergate” as the shrewd DAMAGE LIMITATION STRATEGY that it is:

200 Mexicans died in F&F? NO NO NO NO. 200 counts ONLY the bodies found next to those F&F guns when they were ABANDONED.

In fact they arrested the son of the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel —they’re trying him in Chicago now. His name is Zembada, or something.

And HE says in US court documents that THREE THOUSAND is the number of F&F deaths in Mexico.

So you see, this “F&F is Watergate” is a bunch of damage-limiting B.S.

I think CNN owes FreeRepublic's very own Travis McGee some royalties. He's been making this comparison for months.

Nixon did not know beforehand.

I am intimately aware of what occurred in that case.

Read back, my response was to this:

Second, Nixon knew nothing of the Watergate break in

I stated: Nixon not only knew of the break in, but attempted to cover it up, resigned and was then given a pardon.

Again, the poster said: "Nixon knew nothing of the Watergate break in."

That clearly was not the case, regardless of when Nixon knew of the break in, because the fact is, he was aware and did attempt to cover it up.

End of story.

Lets keep the facts straight here.

Now, back to the program in progress.

Clearly you are nitpicking. Nixon did not plan the break in, and there is no evidence that says otherwise. He most certainly participated in damage control, as would any other president and you could write volumes about the ones that did.

Get over it Nixon is dead. He left office broke unlike any other modern president beside maybe Harry Truman. He was not a crook, he was a victim of bad judgement, he should have called a press conference and destroyed the tapes.

Nixon did not plan the break in

No one suggested or claimed that. Words mean things, try reading them.

Yes, but between the fall of Holder and the Senate confirmation of a new AG, lots of time for the rats to start realizing that the ship is sinking and to try to cut a deal.

At least that’s the hope of a lot of Clintonistas.

"Lets use the wordgames of the left and call it ‘Operation Dead Mexican’."

Good point. If this was during the Bush admin, the media would be using something like that and saying that the plan was to arm drug lords so they could kill law enforcement personnel.
