Cain and accusers eerily silent. Something wrong here!!! (Vanity)
December 19, 2011 | no dems

Posted on 12/19/2011 5:09:47 AM PST by no dems

Like so many Conservative Americans, I put my hopes into Herman Cain. I thought: "Here's a Conservative Black man who really could defeat Obama." Then, the gales became a "perfect storm". I was devastated but still "believed" in him. "Hang in there Herman; fight this thing and come out stronger than ever." Well.... Herman gave up the fight and threw in the towel, which tells me one of two things:

#1. The guy was not the gutsy fighter I thought he was and let Gloria Allred and some old broads send him running like a scared rabbit. Or.......

#2. The guy was guilty and ran and hid behind God and his wife.

If you're innocent, you stand and fight until hell freezes over. But, Herman drops out of the GOP race for President. His accusers are eerily silent now. Herman is eerily quiet now. I wonder how much "left-over" campaign cash was used to silence his accusers.

I might sound like I'm pissed off, but it's more disappointment than anything. Is there no one that we can vote for who is a person of principle? Where are Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and Paul Ryan when we really need them?

It’s the things I can’t remember I’d be worried about.

He might have been just saying it. Perry is a politician, after all.

Now that I’ve said that, I’ll say this. Actions speak louder than words. I believe Perry, if elected, will act in the best interests of the USA - not just his own.

Wow I appreciate the civil discourse.

So I will tell you that I don’t see the forgetful moment in the same light you do. We ALL forget trivial things at times and that is expected and normal. What isn’t normal to me is that this was not a trivial thing. Hence to me it seems that it IS TRIVIAL and unimportant to Perry. If it is trivial and unimportant to him why is he saying it is such a big deal to him? “Something don’t smell right” in this human’s head.

Maybe it isn’t such a big deal. I’m just trying to explain my thought process on that one moment. None of the other moments bothered me for just the reason to which you alluded - we’re all human. Just not this one.

We’ll see - he IS saying the right things.

Seeing what happened to Cain, you really can’t blame nice people for not wanting to have their lives in constant turmoil, destructive turmoil.

They all know what's in their background. Republicans are crazy if they think things won't be uncovered and exposed.

I don’t care for Perry because he mandated the danged shots. IF you are a constitutionalist and a conservative..how do you mandate crap like that? If he could be talked into that by his wife and in-laws..what else can he be talked into?

I also hate his illegal immigration “plan”.

I’m sure he’s nice, smart and an all around great guy..I just don’t like part of what he says he stands for.

I’m not supporting Perry, but I give him a pass on forgetting. Just the other day I was at the local stop & shop and needed to sign my credit receipt. I sat there for a good 30 seconds trying to remember my name. If I can forget my own name due to lack of sleep, I suspect Perry can forget something near and dear to his heart.

“I don’t care for Perry because he mandated the danged shots”

If they were forced (mandated) why did my young granddaughters not have to have them? Why do I not know SOMEBODY, ANYBODY who had to have them? Why did our family members simply waive them?

“I also hate his illegal immigration “plan”.”

What exactly do you think his illegal immigration plan is? Why would Joe Arpaio endorse him?

Back at ya! It takes at least two people for civil discourse!

I concede it was a Magnificent Blunder on Perry's part and definitely see where people can take it to mean it was a trivial matter to Perry.

Maybe, since I'm in Texas, I'm just used to it from Perry.

Still, Perry has always acted in the best interest of Texas and Texans, even when those interests are a bit misguided (ie, trans-texa and gaurdasil). That is where my viewpoint originates. His actions, not his words.

You know no one because the Texas Leg overruled Perry, with a law.

Perry was not "overruled" by anyone.

Perry just did what so few politicians do these days: Listened to his constituents and respected their vote.

As your original post so clearly stated, everyone should reconsider slamming every other candidate and focus on promoting the attributes of who they see as most fit.

Like Grandma told us, you draw more flys with honey than vinegar. Once the Iowa “Paul” flash is gone, maybe lots of the vinegar will be gone.

Well that’s true but we were going to be able to waive it. There was that uproar from the Christian segment whose children were not sexually active.

A lot of people from the medical profession who treat sexually active teenagers always tell me we missed the boat on this. I admit to not being well versed on the subject.

Thanks.

Timing on running for office is critical. Obama still has most all the liberal votes, and he cheats by fraudulent voters stuffing the ballot boxes.

Cain said,’as he was coming to make his announcement, he was staying in the race, on the way he heard his grandchildren had received a death threat.'

So ... that is unacceptable for all concerned.

Roughly 60 state lawmakers called on Perry to rescind the order. He refused. Just six weeks after Perry put pen to paper, the Texas House rebuked him on March 14, 2007, passing HB 1098, overturning his executive order by a vote of 119-21. The Senate followed suit the following month by a vote of 30-1.

The Leg overruled him with a veto proof vote. Do not try to sugar coat it. He got spanked on the issue.

Perry is a democrat who switched parties then promised to continue voting like a democrat and he has.

He is also a globalist which makes him a favorite in the Globalist Occupied Party, which is why the republican party leaders are trying to get him the nomination.

America needs an American president, not another globalist shill. We cannot survive as a country, if that happens again.

You are welcome, I also wish that true information could be found on these medical issues. The FDA and centers for desease control are not always the best for unbiased info. The drug makers are even worse.

IMHO the medical profession is not the best either, just because the support abortion so much. Definately show that they do not always look out for the heath of us.
