Wow I appreciate the civil discourse.
So I will tell you that I don’t see the forgetful moment in the same light you do. We ALL forget trivial things at times and that is expected and normal. What isn’t normal to me is that this was not a trivial thing. Hence to me it seems that it IS TRIVIAL and unimportant to Perry. If it is trivial and unimportant to him why is he saying it is such a big deal to him? “Something don’t smell right” in this human’s head.
Maybe it isn’t such a big deal. I’m just trying to explain my thought process on that one moment. None of the other moments bothered me for just the reason to which you alluded - we’re all human. Just not this one.
We’ll see - he IS saying the right things.
I concede it was a Magnificent Blunder on Perry's part and definitely see where people can take it to mean it was a trivial matter to Perry.
Maybe, since I'm in Texas, I'm just used to it from Perry.
Still, Perry has always acted in the best interest of Texas and Texans, even when those interests are a bit misguided (ie, trans-texa and gaurdasil). That is where my viewpoint originates. His actions, not his words.
