"Tebow has six comebacks in the fourth quarter and OT this season, I think he's got a good idea how the whole 'elevate my level of play in the final five minutes' thing works." SN

The statiscians agree with you. But the Denver Defense is very good and could help shut down the Patriots offense. If the Denver offence is still the predictable run two up the middle and then pass they will lose big. The other teams defensive coordinator must feel like a prize has been delivered on a platter with this “innovative” offense strategy. I predict that this game will not be a low scoring game won in overtime. Denver will have to play like the last half of 4th quarter all game if they hope to win.

I used to really like Tim Tebow. (Since his sophomore year through to late last Sunday!)

But ever since the lamers in the lamestream media adopted him (just so they can rip out his throat later on when he slips up somehow) not so much.

But the idea he’s in Brady’s league...

Geesh.

I’ll re-adopt Tim after the lamers turn on him. Right now, it’s just all too much.

Why can’t people compare the achievements of athletes in similar time frame, e.g., their first season in NFL?

Then it would be fair to everyone.

You make a good point about Jerry Rice. He went from obscurity at the college level to a Hall of Fame career in the NFL. I'd also suggest that he was not only the greatest wide receiver ever to play in the NFL, but he was also the greatest player of his era at any position (although I know it's hard to compare players from different positions).

There are a lot of reasons why college success doesn't always translate to success at the NFL level, and vice versa. Tom Brady is an interesting case because much of his college career at Michigan was spent playing with two other QBs who were also good NFL prospects: Brian Griese (son of former Miami Dolphins QB Bob Griese) and Drew Henson (who also played baseball and was drafted by the New York Yankees).

Last week Tebow would have had over 300 yards passing and probably an easy win if so many good passes had not been dropped. Turn that around and have another good performance from the defense and they could kick some butt. I am a UF grad and live just NW of Denver so I am really liking the turnarounfd this season!

I just learned about Brady’s two post season bowl victories against Alabama and Arkansas. That’s no small deal...

Yates is unbeatan as an NFL QB and unlike Tebow is not in the habit of leading his team to be losing at the end of the 3rd quarter.

And Yates is somehow able to complete more than Tebow’s 47% of his passes.

Joe Montana is the greatest - pure leadership skills unmatched - no interceptions in any of his Super Bowl appearances - despite not having the physical attributes that most QB possess

Brady is going to go berserk tommorow -
Last pass he threw was that game-risking interception.

Bellicheck is going to have some weird looks on D - I figure Edelman for first interception tomorrow.

They will load the box, force Tebow to throw, and then play mind games. If you know the Pats - you know exactly what they are going to do.

As for this question - it is beyond silly. I love Tebow - and wanted to see him in Pats uniform with all the stupidity about him “not being able to play at this level” - he is a total Pats type player - but now - we may never get a chance - bu the question is completely ignorant, andd not fair to Tebow.

If Broncos dont sack Brady three times in first quarter - this game is over before half time.

Tomorrow - might be - one of the greatest offensive exhibitions in history. (Against a good defense).

“God moves in mysterious ways’.
Whatever the outcome will be a test of faith- more so if the Broncos lose.

No...he’s averaging 20-ish points a game, and that’s unsustainable.

Brady's offensive stats (at least THIS year) have been, in part, sustained by a poor Pat defense.

The Pats are 31st in the NFL in defense. Teams score readily. The opposing offenses vs. the Pats get off the field more quickly, which, in turn, gives more clock time over the course of the game for Brady to roll up his own passing stats.

If...however...the Broncos stick to a ground game that eats up time...and cuts the number of drives the Pats get each half by 1 or 2...that's probably three less scores for the Pats tomorrow than average.

As others pointed out further downstream, Tebow is a rookie who has shined on defense. The other guy is a veteran. Nobody (but God) knows much about what Tebow would look like in an offense clutch.

It’s pretty certain he’ll play with class and style, whether he startles with wins in that position or not.

Tebow’s magic might work against the Bears who cannot score points but against a team which can score points i.e. the NE Patriots it won’t.

#1 New England's defense is ranked 31st in the NFL. (They suck)

#2 Tebow & Co. put up 35 points on Minnesota, whose defense ranks about 17th (9th in the league vs. the run).

#3 Tebow & Co. put up 38 points on the Raiders, whose defense ranks about 24th.

So they put up a dozen scores -- 73 points in two games -- on defenses ranked much higher than the Patriots.

Sorry, but Brady doesn't play defense, does he?

Tebow is very good, and as the new flavor of the week, he's exciting.

Brady, on the other hand, has been leading the Patriots to amazing come-from-behind victories every year for over a decade. It will be another ten years before we know if Tebow's name belongs uttered in the same sentence with Hall Of Famer Tom Brady, who currently holds nearly a dozen all-time NFL records at quarterback.

Grow up.

Tomorrow - might be - one of the greatest offensive exhibitions in history. (Against a good defense).

You ignore a key reality.

Every team playing a run-oriented Academy team (Navy, Army, Air Force) knows how short those games are.

Those games click away fast. Army was like 1 for 3 passing vs. Navy in the Dec. 10 game.

It's 3, 4, 3 yards and a cloud of 'turf.

Ball control. Teams ALWAYS get less time "drive" time vs. those teams. Often 2...sometimes 3 less drives per HALF.

The Broncos this year aren't to that same degree as run-oriented; but some games it's been pretty close. Teams are getting about 3 less drives per game due to a Tebow-led run-game offense.

That alone accounts for about 10 points less per game vs. the Bronco defense.

The only way for what you describe to happen would be a fair # of Tebow turnovers. He had two last week -- one of those an interception. But that was his first pick he gave up in 6 games!

I know some people want Fox to "open it up" because Tebow runs the final drives of a game so well...but they need to stick to a ball-control offense...Brady won't be on the field as much...

And if that happens, the Pats won't reach 30 points.
