Taking the Senate will be much easier if the top of the GOP ticket wins by a landslide.

I’m with Jim.

NO Romney! No way!

We are not having a replay of 2008.

Romney is Obama with good hair and a nicer smile.

In the field we have left, Newt is the only one who can take on Obama and win against the onslaught the Dems, the Left and the media have in store for 2012 against all things American.

I’ll take him warts and all.

The sooner we conservatives unite, the better.

We have a country to save, not an Olympics to run.

And I speak as a registered Republican. and I don’t care if Ann Coulter,George Will, Nikki Haley, Christine O’Donnell and all of Fox News don’t agree with me.

I stand with Newt, and with Jim.

No matter how you feel about Gingrich, I'd keep another anti-Romney candidate in your back pocket, Jim.

Given that the SEC just filed a fraud suit against Freddie Mac's Richard F. Syron on Friday, you've got to know that the MSM is going to turn over every rock laboriously to find a way to connect to Newt Gingrich's very real payments from Freddie Mac to Syron's malfeasance. Newt was taking heat for those payments when Syron wasn't identified as a crook. Imagine what's going to happen IF they prove that Syron & Newt were longtime friends and associates -- which is how Newt got the job at Freddie Mac in the first place -- and then the messy details of how Syron screwed American taxpayers starts invading every headline.

I could be wrong but I don't see this ending well for Newt at all.

As to those first accusers: nothing they claimed amounted to a hill of beans. They were just chip-on-shoulder settlement hunters.

As for that “lady” that claimed an affair she could be just a liar or...

1. Failed to keep the virtue of not kissing and telling.
2. Failed to keep that more important virtue of not biting the hand that fed you and helped you.

Newt was right, it turns out, about Romney.

Why was Bain Capital Not Charged AmPad’s losses when Bain’s bankrupt AmPad company paid pennies on the dollar at its bankruptcy?

Was Bain’s using AmPad to rack up tremendous loans, Bain’s taking huge profits out of the loans, and Bain then leaving shareholders and workers no choice but bankruptcy with tremendous debt, an example of free market capitalism?

If I have my son take out huge loans, then take huge percentages of that loan money as an advisor fee, and our plan is for him to declare bankruptcy, but be protected because I, a non-pursuable person, have socked the money away, what is that called? Free market capitalism or conspiracy to commit fraud?

As long as the “tea party” remains you and I and everybody else who wants America to return to a limited, Constitutional government that stays out of our faces, out of our wallets, and out of our way, there will never be tea party support for Mittens.

Any self-proclaimed Tea Party “leader” who suggests there is tea party support for Mittens is a lying fraud.

Anyone but Romney or Obama... or Paul. I’d be delighted to see Romney as a one percenter and the other more conservative candidates competing for the nomination. However, as of this moment, Newt appears to be the genuine Romney killer. And if it’s still a two way contest between Newt vs Romney after the early primaries, I’ll probably go all in with Newt. We must begin building our conservative coalition as soon as possible lest we end up with Mitt as the last man standing, ie, as in what happened last time with McCain.

Advice: Vote for a Republican Senate and then vote for Romney.

Advice: The servers at FR costs time and money, and it has been stated quite clearly that this site shall not be used to promote the lying abortionist RINO Romney.

Did you ever read the story of the Roman Emperor Constantine.

I have. Did you take note that once Constantine converted to Christianity, he didn't return to being a pagan?

Romney has "converted" to Conservatism so many times it's meaningless. It never sticks. It will never stick. And you have nothing to point to in Romney's history to say that he will stay converted. On the other hand, we have a long list of actions to point to which indicate that he won't.

If conservative Republicans vote for Romney they will own him. He will be compelled to pay back those who voted for him.

And you base that on... wild conjecture? Hope N' Change? Delicious Romney Koolaid? Romney's own history says otherwise. Those big meanie voters making poor Mitt run defend his own record! The horrors!

Advice: Vote for a Republican Senate and then vote for Romney. That’s the best shot conservative Republicans have at gaining true transformative power. And you would squander it by not voting for Romney ???

Regardless of the makeup of the Senate, Romney will kowtow or not based on his perception of what's best for Mitt Romney at the moment. And since we can only vote for one senator in one state, you have to rely on millions of voters in other states for your plan to work.

Romney has no loyalty to America. Romney has no loyalty to Conservatism.

Better Advice: Try harder next time you want people to vote for your lyin', self-absorbed, moral-less, abortion lovin', gun hatin' candidate. Find people who can't read, write, and have no TV, who are totally unaware of Romney's record and go from there.

Be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove.

Wise as a serpent = reject Romney, since he's said repeatedly that he's for stricter gun control than anything we have now.

Innocent as a dove = reject Mitt "Mr. Abortion for All" Romney.

If I'm wrong about Romney, oh Wise One, show me where in Romney's entire history, that he has consistently stood by a single conservative principle over anything/everything else. Here's your chance to convert someone. You clearly think your advice is worth taking, so you must know an awful lot about the subject. Go for it!

His conservative Republican Revolution cut the taxes, cut the spending, cut the deficit, cut unemployment, blocked President Clinton's progressive agenda, blocked HillaryCare, reformed welfare, defended life, and balanced the budget four years running,

I hate revisionist history. The federal debt has gone up every single year since 1957. Sure, Gingrich passed some balanced budget on paper and then voted for supplemental and emergency spending bills. And don't forget, they spent every dime of the large Social Security surpluses during those years, leaving behind massive IOUs. If it comes down to Gingrich or Romney I'll vote for NAFTA / WTO Newt, but I'll need a designated driver to get to the polls.

I know that you are going to hate it, but in terms of support within the Party and ability to beat Obama, I predict that it is going to come down to Romney or Paul.

I really can't imagine Santorum, Bachmann or any of the others catching fire at this late date and it's going to be too late for anyone else to jump in as Republican. ANY third Party candidate will just dilute the Republican vote & give it to Obama.

This election is going to be a wild ride.

JimRob, it feels like the old days. You're in fine form and thinking of the USA first. I agree that endorsing Newt as
soon as possible is a plus for all. I want Newt to open his files on Freddie/Fannie and disclose what advice he gave, when and how much his company was paid for each contract - - I'm 100% supporting $$ Newt against Mitt.
I've had ABO on my license plate. Newt is not anybody.
He's special. He knows where the bodies are buried, and
who put them there and why. And he doesn't forget, why else would so many RINO’s be working against him!

We should rebuild the grassroots conservative movement. From the Reagan Revolution of 1980 through the Contract with America in 1994, it was this movement from outside Washington that carried us to the first center-right majority governing coalition in more than 60 years.

The problem has not been with conservatism or with our voters.

The problem has been with Republican leaders who forgot who elected them and what values their supporters expected to see implemented in Washington.
