Nice to hear of a story like this instead of a police officer "bravely" shooting the family golden retriever or storming the house of some pot smoker watching Sponge Bob in his boxer shorts.

I saw this on TV yesterday and it brought tears to my eyes, what an incredibly noble thing to do.

No it isn’t. That’s why it made the national news.

And the media only tells the truth when it comes to poor behavior by police?

Nice to hear of a story like this instead of a police officer "bravely" shooting the family golden retriever or storming the house of some pot smoker watching Sponge Bob in his boxer shorts. Are you trying to say that most cops are facist psychopaths, or that that's all the liberal media cares about. You're wrong in either case, newbie.

I saw this on TV yesterday and it brought tears to my eyes, what an incredibly noble thing to do. After Ron Paul, John Huntsman and Mitt Romney are tied for my second least favorite candidate. That being said, when I see people on this website attacking Mormons for being Mormons, I am reminded of people like this cop.

Nonsense. It made national news because a camera happened to be there.

Are you trying to say that most cops are facist psychopaths You are the only one who has made that statement.
To: no gnu taxes
You are the only one who has made that statement. It was a question, not a statement. I am trying a lot harder than I want to figure out what point you are trying to make with this thread, newbie.
Is it an indictment of all police officers?
Is it a feel-good thread about one honorable cop?
Is it supposed to be ironic, because the liberal media never cares about cops?
What are you trying to say here newbie?

It’s a story for two reasons. One is that a camera was on scene. Two is that truthfully the work day of most cops is incredibly dull.

That’s is not what the newbie said. According to him, most police officers in the news are “’bravely’ shooting the family golden retriever or storming the house of some pot smoker watching Sponge Bob in his boxer shorts.”

I think there’s an unwritten rule somewhere that FReepers with ‘sign-up dates’ prior to yours are automatically superior or something. Of course, since there’s no way for you to change that fact, it’s a bully’s favorite argument. Don’t worry about it.

It was a question, not a statement. No, it was an insult directed at me, thus this newbie crap.
Is it an indictment of all police officers?
It is of indictment of many, many law enforcement officers and the culture they live in, and a praise of the one mentioned.
