Nearly 20 percent of women in the United States have been raped at least once and one in four has been severely attacked by an intimate partner, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Wednesday.
Almost 80 percent of female victims were first raped before age 25 and more than half were raped by a current or former partner, according to the CDC's analysis of data from the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey of 18,049 men and women in the United States in 2010.
The survey, which the CDC said was the first of its kind, found that one in eight female rape victims said the perpetrator was a family member.

By that definition, 1 percent of women surveyed reported being raped in the previous year, a figure that suggests that 1.3 million American women annually may be victims of rape or attempted rape.
In other words, at least a few of these are simply women who regretted their actions from the night before.
With the definition of rape getting revised shortly by the FBI we will find out that all women have been raped.
This is a complex issue. I’ve always thought there was a difference between rape, attempted rape and sexual assault.
But it looks like researchers are blurring the lines.
This is obviously not the W.Goldberg standard of rape-rape.
It’s whatever plumps up their numbers, so they can apply for more research dough.
One would have to deconstruct the “study” to understand if it has any significance.
The phenomenon of government funding of “studies” carried out by advocacy groups, which “studies” are then published, if they are published at all, via press release, has become very common.
Still all crap, but common.
CDC?
Rape is a disease?
The CDC somehow became a political action committee.
The United States of America is very, very bad place. It’s inhabited by insatiable sexuelle predators!
“Nearly one in five U.S. women raped in lifetime: study”

From the same, agenda-driven researchers who brought us:
“All men secretly want to be homos.”
Much of this are consequences of women acting like men, but reacting to the results like women. Regretting a hook-up isn’t rape.
This reminds me of nothing so much as a witch hunt, or the Red Guards searching for evidence of anti-Mao activity.
What this means is that more false accusations are going to be made against men;
there are going to be more wrongful convictions;
and all to fulfill the quota of “rapes” which the mindless believe must be happening somewhere.
(Not to mention that if 1/5 of women are raped, then something like 1/5 of men must be rapists.)
Get ready for more Duke lacrosse and Tawana Brawley cases; those were only the start...
“forced penetration facilitated by drugs or alcohol”
So if a woman goes out on a date, or after several dates, has drinks and/or gets high and then makes love to her partner that is considered rape in this so called study.
This is just propaganda to promote a radical, man hating agenda.
I’m not trying to minimize the impact of rape or anything like that, but I find this number hard to believe.
one in ten maybe or one in fifteen, but not one in five. That’s a pretty severe condemnation of your average American male if you think about it.
Obviously 1 in 5 men wouldn’t be rapists, because there are two classes of guys. The alphas get all the women and the betas don’t get any, more or less.
They classify that as rape. No force at all and in the end she is willing, doesn't seem to matter. They call it rape because she at first said she would rather not.
That is how these feminazis come up with these inflated numbers.
This means that when you come home from a night out with the boys and do the, “hey honey, let’s get funky, c’mon.”, it is called rape. Liberalism at its worst.
I’ve always wondered just how many “Rapes” are a girlfriend / wife who decides to have a fling with someone, then hubby/boyfriend catches them or finds evidence so girlfriend / wife turns on the tears and claims rape.
Yep, detective can read between the lines too. That makes two of us so far. Anyone else?
