The anti-Walmart buzz in this morning’s stories has been toned down, as the birds were found to have crashed all over town. Storm conditions were probably to blame, rather than evil retail.
Interesting view into the media mind’s eye on how this was originally framed. What does the MSM have against Walmart? WM is the enabler of their Chicom buddies.

I’ve never seen a flock of birds land on a body of water hard enough to kill themselves if the water turned out to be pavement. They usually ground-effect in. What was this: The 30 MPH, Bill-First Landing?

News only because it was a non-union parking lot. Weather conditions and misjudgement are the cause of this “downing”. Grebes are perfectly capable of landing on the ground as well as water.
However, reporters usually need to be taken into the coop to prevent them from drowning in the rain.
