Remember the Gerald Walpin affair? Republican Sen. Charles Grassley does.
Walpin was the inspector general of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the organization that runs the AmeriCorps service program. In June 2009, Walpin received a call from Norman Eisen, who was then the Special Counsel to the President for Ethics and Government Reform. Eisen told Walpin he had an hour to either resign or be fired.
Eisen's call appeared to violate the 2008 Inspectors General Reform Act, which is designed to protect inspectors general from political interference. I ask again, when is enough, Enough? 50,000 Russians protest PtTin in Moscow, braving not only cold weather, but imprisonment or worse.
I’m ready now to take the streets and demand the replacement of all nationally elected officials.
No more. I’ve had it.
Eisen was an old ACLU lefty and is dishonest as can be. He should be charged with perjury, convicted and jailed, not given an ambassadorship.
Grassley is a fool to let this ahole get away with his lying. That is one reason nobody supports the Republican Party; they are made up of cowards and wimps.
I think the proper question is:
What was in it for Grassley?
And what happened to Gerald Walpin? Where is he now?
For that matter, how is the mack daddy mayor of Sacramento, “basketball jones” doing in his office. This is street punk crap pure and simple. Thank you clintoonian for the PAID “volunteers” of Americorps (a complete WASTE of money and yet another funder of ACORN et al). Defund the left, stop this program and none of this would have happened. There would have been no need for an IG for a nonexistent program.
For fun, check out the machine running Birmingham, AL and the corruption there with municipal bonds and sheer graft— y’all get my drift? Corruption has no color line, but people do- and if you put people with no ethics in place, you get this.
They are neither impotent nor fools. They know exactly what they’re doing and they’re getting away with it. But evil? Yes.
The tyranny continues...
