“I think candidates should not be afraid in front of the nation no matter who the host of the debate is.”

Huh? Typical Palin word salad. Jebus...

I say anyone that anyone that doesn’t show up shouldn’t get a chance to run. How do we get to see what they are made of if they don’t show it? I don’t think there are enough debates.

Of course she’s right!

There’s no valid reason for any candidate to decline, unless they’re scared of The Donald......LOL.

I’m not sure why any candidate who entered the MSM debates would skip this one.

Donald Trump, even though he is a rich celebrity businessman, is closer to the people than anyone in the MSM.

It would be better for someone like Huntsman to go to the debate and take on Trump on China than to run and hide.

If I had my druthers, Palin would be the moderator, given that she ain’t running. She’s been MIGHTY quiet since she declined to run. And that seems MIGHTY odd because she was not afraid to speak audaciously before.

Way to go, Sarah! Should be an interesting debate, assuming Romney has the guts to show up. Go, NEWT!!

I’d like Palin to get an invite and/or the chance to ask the candidates some questions. Do this and the record for most-watched primary debate might get broken.

A few years ago I would have disagreed, owing to my old-fashioned sense of traditionalism and decorum. But seeing how these recent ‘legit’ debates via the MSM have been such crass, tacky affairs... plus, the way we see the media twist them to their own playing field, to delibertely make the GOP candidates look as bad as possible... well, the idea of a Trump debate doesn’t sound all that horrific after all. Plus, Palin made the completely valid argument that such a debate would potentially attract a different audience, beyond the typical cable-news junkies.

Yes, the candidates should participate. And though some don’t like Trump, he’s the one who’s done what needed to be done in taking the moderation of all debates away from liberal MSM types (and Fox is little if any better).

Maybe Trump’s taking the first step will lead to other debates moderated by conservative media figures` in future campaigns.

(And as an added bonus, it pisses off Karl Rove.)

I agree as well.

If they’re not afraid of the vipers that some call the MSM, then why not participate in The Donalds debate.........

I think The Donald will be more on page with the candidates and not try to trick them into a “gotcha” that is highly unfair and one sided.
I also think that he’ll give them a fair shake in regards to time but that remains to be seen.

I want to see the candidates in ALL sort’s of comfort levels whether they be crappy moderators or hosts or balanced or what-have-you.

I agree. What say you?

I think Willard is scared of debating Gingrich now that Newt's the frontrunner and the questions will require longer answers.

I say Palin is turning into a dumb bulb or is trying to shove all 2012 candidates under the Trump bus to preserve her chances for 2016.

Palin: "America needs to wake up to what is going on under Obama's socialist policies......."

But, but, but.....The Bloviator vehemently declared tonight that Obama is NOT a socialist.

Now, who are ya gonna believe, Sarah Palin or that populist weasel, the Obama-defending, closet liberal, Bill O'Strich?

Governor Palin should join.

Seriously.

Do it! Stand at Mitt Romney’s empty podium, and debate Gingrich...

Really. Do it.

Sarah,

if not enough candidates show up that day to make it interesting,
YOU should get permission to go there and debate there too,
just on principles, not that you’re a candidate.

Trump might let you join as a Tea Party spokesperson, it would boost ratings,
and any RINOs (present or not present) could be ripped to shreds, by you of course.

I disagree. Trump cheapens the debate to a reality tv show. Very stupid move for the candidates.

I hope they all decline.
