interfering with public education
Half the teachers should be behind bars.
BFL
My kid is in a public school for the first and perhaps the only semester ever. I loathe what they do. They have incorporated prison administration terminology for handling the students. “Lockdown”, “block”, “cell”, “detainee” and so forth. Crazy. This is allegedly an honor school and magnet school. Your government at work on you.
The kid is clearly a troublemaker, the sooner he is executed the better.
If this is what passes for Criminal Behavior in today’s Classrooms they would have executed me before I finished the 8th Grade...
So grateful that I grew up in a Free Country with Parents that knew how to Discipline (I certainly earned every whack) and I’m so very disappointed with the current crop of Govt / Union Educators.
TT
(PS In one day I was whacked by my Teacher, the Principal and my Mother ... then “Just wait till your Father gets home” ... and I got whacked again... and I never put Firecrackers in the Jello again)
Is this true? Arrested for burping? Jeez, and teachers having sex with students without being ARRESTED?
Let’s see:
13 years old & selling pot....
I’m guessing they were looking for an excuse to get rid of this kid and I doubt this was the first time the little ‘angel’ has had issues at school.
Armed police stand ready to force students to attend these prison-like places, force citizens to pay for the godless and socialist indoctrination in these kiddie prisons, and to handcuff and haul to jail any student defiant enough to **burp** in the face of power! Remember, “Truth to Power”!
Don’t they ever make kids sit in the hall anymore?
I farted so loud in 5th grade it rattled the laminated desk seat. Tried to blame it on the girl behind me but got sent to the office. I survived with a few licks.
Really ! Wow, I wonder if farting would lead to charges of emitting toxic fumes as the next thing to do ?
More zero tolerance nonsense. Somebody should have enough sense to give him detention and be done with it.
Ha! My little brother, a complete stereo typical jock, ran for class treasure his senor year and his campaign speech was burping the alphabet. He won.
Actually, no one interferes with public education more than unionized teachers.
I recall letting a loud one rip in my 5th grade history class. We were learning about the golden age of Greece.
I think it set me back with the gals for a few years.
And it was the same classroom about the same time (I remember this vividly, and haven’t thought about it for decades) when the cue-ball bald PR cop came in to do his school outreach. I have no recollection what he told us us, except that he joked about waxing his shiny head.
Now, all the cops where I live are goons, kids who shave their heads and wear wraparound “badass” sunglasses.
Do today’s kids even know how to make rude noises with their armpits?
Call it for what it is.
Belching loudly is just pretty rude.
Most students learned about that as 2nd graders and socially were not encouraged to continue amongst valued peers.
Some never learn and find it to be a mechanism to disrupt others and the learning environment.
The school should have mechanisms by which to discipline the students, which either the parents may agree to accept or remove their children from that environment.
Unfortunately, we’ve had a liberal education establishment attempt to counterfeit both legitimate authority and the family, no longer holding children accountable as children.
I’d recommend having the Principal of the school and the student who exhibits such rude behavior, both be forced to endure one another until the situation is worked out. Let the Administration suffer the consequences of not enforcing legitimate authority at the appropriate level and let the student miss his opportunity to learn when behaves rudely.
First burps, then looks are next. As in, he gave me a bad look, arrest him.
It is closer to the flesh trade then anything else, you single out individuals and stigmatize them.Overtime they become more and more subordinate to the whims of those who put them there in the first place.
Horrible way to school children, especially teenagers.13 is just like 18 and in sense 21....a time when you move from one to another in your existence and your particular vulnerable to people trying to book you over.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
This is an older article I stumbled on today. Seems I missed it first time around.
