Its an Obama world. While we were preoccupied with other disastrous Obama policies, military bureaucrats under Barack Obama passed a new rule that barred loved ones from bringing Bibles to wounded soldiers.
The US Military says they are rescinding the order but only after a Republican lawmaker denounced the policy on the House floor. Todd Starnes reported:
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center said they are rescinding a policy that prohibits family members of wounded military troops from bringing Bibles or any religious reading materials to their loved ones.
The decision to rescind the ban on Bibles came exactly one day after a Republican lawmaker denounced the policy on the House floor and called on President Obama to publicly renounce the military policy.
The President of the United States should address this and should excoriate the people who brought about this policy and the individual who brought it about should be dismissed from the United States Military, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told Fox News & Commentary.
King spoke from the House floor Thursday blasting a policy memorandum from the commander of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center written by Chief of Staff C.W. Callahan. The September 14th memo covers guidelines for wounded, ill, and injured partners in care.

His background is primarily in pediatrics. Strange that he’s now working with our military.
“Charles W. Callahan Colonel, Medical Corps, U.S. Army Chief of Staff, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center”
Whoa...be careful here. Unless it can be shown this individual instituted the policy....don’t go after him. However, IF he did, then he should be relieved of command...a career killer.
If we get a RINO out of the primary, we should all sit home and let Obama win a second term so he can keep entrenching the numbers of these type administrators in our government and military. /s
We haven't chosen a candidate yet.
Until then, we don't have to agree on who to support.
Regards.
Banning the Eucharist, that’s pretty blatant even for Obama. Maybe he figures if Judge Greer can do it in Florida...
Sounds like something Obama would do! lol Having said that, how can they deny family members from bringing a bible in to a loved one? I could understand preventing people from forcing a bible onto someone that didn't want it, but a family member?
What stops him from chucking them all in the trash to save himself the work of reviewing them?
Looks like the enemy of mens souls is hitting our military at every angle....with Obama and this administration clearly in his camp.
Obama continues to show he's far more than a Communist/fascist/progressive/liberal and all the evil that comes with that....he's hand in hand with the enemy of men's souls.
I can say both of my sons have served in our military.....one remains in the Air National Guard and works for the Veterans Administration. This wil NOT go down on his watch......not ever.
Yes, but was it closed, closed; or was it just closed?
From Walter Reed....”We are drafting a new instruction that will clearly articulate our respect for religious and cultural practices of all of our patients and families.”
They are forgetting they also work for us...this is a nation under the Christian God...nobody’s said otherwise and I don’t want Reed to respect Islam or any other political ideology that opposes our nation and seeks to harm it...nope...and they will be hearing from me.
>>Again, we regret any confusion that this might have caused
They aren’t sorry for trying it. They’re just sorry that that the bitter clingers found out and were “confused”.
I’m sorry for the service members who have to risk their life for a nation as disgusting as this one has become. The government and more than half of the people aren’t worth breaking a fingernail for!
If I was bringing a Bible to a wounded family member, I’d bring a couple people with cameras to film them pepper-spraying me, tasing me, or beating me up to stop me.
Occupy Amerika! Wolverines!
>>I could understand preventing people from forcing a bible onto someone that didn’t want it
I don’t understand. I have a Book of Mormon that a very nice kid forced on me 25 years ago (when I was slightly nice kid). He really believed in his religion and I read the entire book and decided that I did not believe it. No harm done. Even if someone gave me a Koran, I’d take it in the spirit that it was given even though I wouldn’t read it any more than to look up passages.
On the other hand, a pushy Moonie shoved a book into my hands in an airport when I was a young sailor. I took it and he demanded $20. I tried to give it back but he wouldn’t accept it. So, he followed me all the way to my gate demanding money before I threw it in the trash.
It’s all in the spirit of how its given that matters.
Meanwhile, if you see a pothole coming up in the right lane, don’t veer head-on into a truck in the left lane in order to teach the Highway Department a lesson, FRiend.
Needs to resign.
PING!
I’ll bet that those carrying KORANS in to Walter Reed weren’t stopped, but rather cheered by this Hate Filled Administration!
Thanks for the contact and the address. He’ll be getting more than a few letters.
Unbelievable that this would even occur...and I canot help but believe that there is more to it than this one individual. I believe this attitude goes all the way to the very top of the Chain of Command...certainly not including all of them, but I believe it is a policy that the CIC would approve of until it became to politically hot to countenance, then he would sacrifice those below him.
