Its an Obama world. While we were preoccupied with other disastrous Obama policies, military bureaucrats under Barack Obama passed a new rule that barred loved ones from bringing Bibles to wounded soldiers.
The US Military says they are rescinding the order but only after a Republican lawmaker denounced the policy on the House floor. Todd Starnes reported:
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center said they are rescinding a policy that prohibits family members of wounded military troops from bringing Bibles or any religious reading materials to their loved ones.
The decision to rescind the ban on Bibles came exactly one day after a Republican lawmaker denounced the policy on the House floor and called on President Obama to publicly renounce the military policy.
The President of the United States should address this and should excoriate the people who brought about this policy and the individual who brought it about should be dismissed from the United States Military, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told Fox News & Commentary.
King spoke from the House floor Thursday blasting a policy memorandum from the commander of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center written by Chief of Staff C.W. Callahan. The September 14th memo covers guidelines for wounded, ill, and injured partners in care.

0bama would add a dozen howling ayatollahs..
You want to PROSCRIBE him for an ill-considered general order?Hokay. We have to get rid of these schmucks.
Yeah, hey look, even if we get someone who is unreliable or even a RINO out of the primary, we still come out ahead. CONGRESS is what we have to reform. Our goal needs to be a Congress that will TAIL Mr. President what HE needs to do not one that rubber stamps the agenda of the communist takeover.
was this rescinded?
Yes, the state-endorsed denominations are under the 1954 LBJ law which permits a tax-exempt status to the politically silent. They can’t be involved politically without risking that status. Of course, many of the ministers are on the left too and/or don’t like to make waves. They just preach about the “love” of God and not the other side of the coin.
I am tired of state-controlled media choosing our candidate by character assassination.
And I don't have to like Noot or Myth, and I don't have to say nice things about them.
Chaplains aren’t allowed to speak out, or they could be forced to retire. It’s the American people who are culpable or silent by the nature of their votes over so many years.
I saw one article or video where Mrs. Moocher said that they make their family and guests dance and entertain for their (small/cheap) gifts. Way to go.... They cheapen and denigrade everything.
I cannot think of any family member who would listen to the policy. Military families I know would bring the Bible and smack anyone trying to prevent their taking it to their loved one.
But they didn’t do enough to get their message out./s
But the media blew everything out of proportion./s
But there’s this vast white ring conspiracy./s
But they were taken out of context./s
But mealy mealy mealy mouth./s
Bottom line: Order rescinded, memo “poorly worded”... religious items are perfectly OK if soldier wants it...
