Herman Cain Announcement LIVE THREAD (Video Feed Link) [Suspending!]
HermanCain.com ^ | 12-03-2011

Posted on 12/03/2011 8:18:19 AM PST by montag813

Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.

We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

HERE IS THE LIVE VIDEO FEED LINK: http://hermancain.com/livestream

This isn’t even about whether he can win the nomination or not...it’s MUCH bigger. This is about right and wrong, truth and lies, and whether or not we are going to let the journalistas and their overlords in the DNC rape the American Way and our electoral process. Damn the torpedoes, Mr. Cain, full speed ahead! Don’t let the bastards win this...

His Live Stream page certainly doesn’t give the appearance that Cain will be quitting...it’s a positive, uplifting cycling of his speeches, family, etc.

Were you expecting somber music over a montage of black & white photos?

Sacajaweau, I have seen you post blatant lies about Herman Cain. It is people like you who make me lose hope for our country.

Personally, I think the missive ‘leaked’ in your link is childish, at best. My advice to others is “don’t bother.”

Less qualifications?

He’s more qualified than Obama for the simple reason that he’s done what Obama has never done.

Cain has actually held a job.

It really doesn’t matter if he decides to stay in, suspends or quits. His campaign is headed for the low single digits and is essentially over.

His ego may not allow him to quit, however, the TV ops, secret service protection and the adoration of rapidly declining supporters.

He seemed very clear about it on Hannity last week.

He said it is first of all about his family. That it is taking a toll on the family and that he will make his decision based on that.

Everything else, the good vs bad thing, he says he is working on.

Equally sickening to me is the delight squealed by many here as they fall. I noticed a sharp increase in headlines highllighting Newt's issues in yesterday's FR activity. They have already abandoned Cain and obviously Newt is next.

But of course! For some of Obama's useful idiots, this is nothing but a big Reality TV show. They treat the Republican primary like a bread-and-circus distraction. Meanwhile, the middle east is blowing up, Europe's economy is in meltdown, China is growing in strength, and we make fun of our candidates, each of whom is 1,000% better than the current occupant of the White House.

Bachmann and Perry ought to pack it in as well. Actually, I suspect the reason they are still in is simply that they think they might get the nod for VP if they can make a dent in the polls. Right now, they are probably hoping they’ll pick up some of Herman’s support. That seems like a pipe dream to me.

I don't think anybody should leave the race as long as they have money and are above 5%. This isn't 2008 where you can just about win the nomination by the end of February. Having a good mix of candidates keeps things interesting.

Plus people shouldn't sink to the level of the Bachmann and Perry supporters who believed that other candidates should be dropping out when Bachmann and then Perry was on top earlier this year. Very unseemly and childish.

I agree about the support - Bachmann and Perry are not going to pick up Cain supporters if he drops. Those folks already took a look at Bachmann, then left for Perry, then left for Cain. The things that they saw and didn't like with Bachmann and Perry are still present.

Doubt Cain will leave at this point though.

So what part of “it is FUNNY, but people won’t read it all, and they’ll think it’s serious” did you think meant it was going to be serious?

Sorry you can’t see humor when it’s written.

Glad you pointed that out. I cannot believe how utterly naive and outright devious are some Freepers. These attacks on Cain has the hallmark of the Chicago machine.

Some Freepers are happy that Cain's out because their candidate can now advance.

These foolish Freepers how no idea the evil that we are up against. Mitt for sure will not turn our Republic towards Liberty. Mitt will be a placeholder until the next Marxist takes power.

Newt has a character flaw that will not allow him to be bold and turn us towards limited government.

I have follow Newt for decades -- he will surely disappoint Conservatives. Newt's inner arrogance causes him to to truly believe if he had the power of State, he could bend it to do "the right thing."

Newt like other Statists cannot understand by just removing the State from most aspects of our lives, then society will become prosperous more civil. (He obvious has no understanding of Milton Friedman, Schumpeter, Adam Smith, Mises, Hayek, etc.)

P.S. I ask all Freepers to listen to Newt -- all his solutions require State action (smarter govt, etc), not the removal of the State.

You sir, are horriffically misinformed. LESS qualified? You bought into the racist leftist spew about ‘that pizza guy’...check out his resume and you will be amazed. If not, then you have other reasons that you don’t like him and are just propagandizing. Either way you are entitled to your opinion, but please, at least be intellectually honest in your arguments. Mr. Cain is without question one of the most qualified candidates in recent history.

Exactly...this is what EVERY Repub candidate should repeat non-stop...especially when the MSM attempts to derail.

Cain is strong and deep in my heart I don’t see him letting the scum, worthless pigs at Politico win this disgusting smear campaign they engineered. Why would he open new HQ only to leave the race? I hope he stays in - I will support him if he does.
