Cain: Wife didn't know about friendship, ‘financial assistance' to Ginger White
The Union Leader ^ | Thursday December 1, 2011

MANCHESTER - Herman Cain acknowledged Thursday that he repeatedly gave Ginger White money to help her with "month-to-month bills and expenses" without telling his wife of more than 40 years.

In fact, the embattled presidential candidate said, his wife, Gloria, "did not know that we were friends until she (White) came out with this story" alleging that the two had a 13-year extramarital affair.

Cain also stated clearly for the first time that as a result of the constant controversy he has been facing, he is considering getting out of the presidential race.

Asked whether leaving the race is one of the options he is currently assessing, Cain said, “Yes, it is an option.” Regarding his decision, he said, "You will know by next week" as he takes the weekend to reassess where he stands in the campaign.

This isn’t surprising at all. Cain is being given the Bill Cosby treatment.

Bill got a little too out of line when he criticized the state of the black male and black families in general so he was neutralized by the left with a sex scandal.

Why would Ginger White do this to Cain unless there’s more to it than he’s admitting? If he was just helping her financially, why would she go out and destroy him like this? My guess is that there was some kind of relationship and when his campaign took off, he told her they would have to cool it, no more handouts, etc. Oh well, I guess it’s better we found out now than a month before the general election. Too bad, I liked his national sales tax plan.

Abuse button hit

Now your day is complete. The poster who offered up that graphic had already demonstrated their zeal to begin the mockery of Herman Cain, oh excuse me: "standard issue political cartoon".

WHY....WHYYYYYY do these guys with more than a wandering eye decide to run for office? Do they REALLY think their past transgressions are going to be swept under the rug? That kind of thinking goes WAY beyond naive.
How can they be so business-smart but so lacking in common sense? It's so infuriating-especially with the upcoming election being so important.
I forsee him quitting after talking with his wife over the weekend. He's going to be too busy in divorce court to worry about a little thing like running for POTUS.

Ph.D. = historically real doctors who create original scholarship in their field of study.

MDs = barbers in the Middle Ages. They like to think they are real doctors, but they are glorified plumbers, at best.

Chiropractors? ROTFLMAO!

Maybe everyone should listen to the Video. 18:30 - 25:00 is the notes about the latest White Incident. She sent 47 text Cain sent 23 text.

Very Good Video for Cain. Maybe his wife should have been told that is for them to decide. For legal matters he could not give how much money he had helped her with.

If his assistance to someone in need and yes he says their are more both men and women sinks him as a candidate then we are doomed in 2012 to four more years of Obama. All or our candidates have issues.

After all providing Assistance to someone is a cardinal sin but divorcing some with Cancer well that just good politics.

Cain you still have my support.

You can pat yourself on the back when Obama gets reelected.

The rest are unelectable to the Independent voters. They are not that sophisticated and view Newt as part of what is wrong with Washington. Yes he can win a debate with Obama, but is unelectable.

The media and press are going to rip apart Newt or Romney. Both Establishment candidates.

If Cain gets knocked, then Obama gets another 4 years. Then like I said you can pat yourself on the back.

I was willing to defend him against the Slime Brigade; I still don't believe any of the "accusers."

But no way a man has a friendship for 13 years, gives financial assistance to a woman, and DOESN'T tell his wife unless something peculiar was going on.

I don't make loans or offer a helping hand to folks, especially in financial support, without clearing it through my husband first; he knows how much I plan to donate to the school or church - he tells me before making any purchase outside of our usual bills. We are not in the habit of hiding anything because there is NOTHING to hide.

If my husband came to me with this story, he'd be dodging a cast-iron frying pan and then bullets.

The Left didn’t make Cosby or Cain do what they did. They did it to themselves.

A Chiropractor was the first doctor in a decade to correctly diagnose the root cause of my debilitating medical condition.

I'd been to gastroentenologists, rheumatologists, gynocologists, been through a complete blood work up, MRI during partial facial collapse (similar to bells palsy) and was incorrectly diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

The "ROTFL" DC made a decade of pain go away in 3 days, and through a diet change and system cleanse radically changed my life. Three months later, I was completely cured.

I’m still somewhat flummoxed by the notion that Cain’s candidacy has pretty much ended due to revelations about affairs and sexual impropiety...and it has most benefitted Newt. The same guy who openly admits to multiple affairs and dalliances and treating his previous wives like dirt in many ways.

I don’t care for Paul Begala but he had a good line. He said that Romney has changed everything but his wife and his religion, and he’s losing to a guy who’s changed both of them.

The seeming indifference to Newt’s past is baffling. Reminds me of how Rudy has all this supoprt despite being pro choice. Eventually it all faded. Will it fade for Newt or do people truly not really mind it? I guess we’ll find out.

If only Cain were a Democrat, then none of this would matter. /s

Wait, maybe it isn’t sarcasm after all. Might be closer to the truth after all.

I liked Perry when he first announced, but over the past few weeks I’ve been thinking more and more of Rick Santorum. I don’t want Romney, I don’t want Gingrich, I don’t want Cain, I can live without Rick Perry; I want Santorum.

Bachmann, I think, is my next choice. But they’re both doing poorly. It’s a disappointment.
