I have supported Perry from the beginning, and am now a supporter of every conservative, particularly now of Newt Gingrich.

His numbers are unique. Gov. Perry’s involved an infatuation. Gingrich’s involve his excellence of these many weeks in debates, interviews, and public statements.

His interview with Hannity last night sealed it for me. There simply is no other candidate in this race with his ability.

It is over. It is time for the splintered conservative wing to pull together to overthrow Obama for the good of our country.

I don’t think Sarah will accept any appointment - that’s just the way I see it.

Newt shouldnt start measuring the drapes just yet.

His ego is already starting to get out of control. Declaring himself the nominee today, saying how he’s 60 days ahead of schedule, now it’s Newt ns non-Newt, etc...

It’s stuff like that that will turn people off very quickly.

Newt’s a historian with a phD in European history. I’m sure he knows about the 100 days.

They’ll have much dirt to dig with his ex-wives during the general election.

Yes. We should remember previous outcomes with running candidates with past baggage.

Remember the one we ran who had divorced his first wife - a very famous and well loved lady - AND had been a democrat until into his 50's!

You 'd think we would have known better. Look how THAT turned out!

Oh wait...that was Ronald Reagan. Worked out pretty well.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when his entire campaign staff that quit get together for cocktails now.

I've thought the same thing.

And people don't remember that Reagan's team all marched out during the time of the NH primary! Betcha they've kicked themselves ever since with their "if only's"

I don’t see anything wrong with being 60 days ahead of schedule. It simply means he’s a planner. That would be so much more refreshing that Obama, never met a plan that didn’t end in a disaster for this country.

I didn’t find it to be a turn off at all. I thought he was trying throughout to be light-hearted, humble, and a humorously wise. I also think he pulled it off.

That interview was a slam dunk.

It’s over, jeltz25. The other candidates cannot overcome the excellence that Gingrich is demonstrating.

You post: "Gingrich at 50% means he cannot be defeated in Florida.

At 38% nationally means he won’t be defeated."

I'm gonna sleep good tonight. These numbers are phenomenal - and that's what we'll need if the nut case, Paul, runs as an Independent - he has the ego and the ire to do it.

Also, if the demRats dump O'Bumbles and run hitlery - we'll still win.

I think Ron Paul will not run as an independent because it will injure Rand Paul. I like Rand Paul a lot. He has a chance to run for president himself some day, if his dad doesn’t blow it for him by turning the family name into an epithet.

You say: “Need to go to Newt’s website and send more money. I pray Newt wins. Obama will get jelly legs when he’s at the first debate. How wonderful that will be.”

Indeed!

He will have up to 200 Executive Orders , detailed, printed and ready to sign on day ONE...that will cut back 45% of what O’bumbles has done - pretty good start.

Newt is the only one with the knowledge and the experience to hit the ground running.

WE can’t afford someone who needs time to get up to speed. It’s too late to get up to speed AFTER you’ve run over the cliff. We do not have ONE DAY to spare if we’re going to save our country and our freedoms.

Newt will be adding to his list of Day One EO’s - and is inviting us to send our ideas.

and here are just a few links to enjoy.

I’m a Newt guy at this point. Im just saying if he starts gloating, getting full of himself, he could see some backlash. There’s still a month left. I just worry that he’s going to think he has this wrapped up and some of the old tendencies will reemerge.

I just think he should remain modest and humble like he has been so far. He praised all the other candidates at the debates, was always the elder statesman/grandfather type.

Now, some good polls and he’s talking about the race being over, even ahead of his master plan, already planning the debates with Obama, etc... I just think he should tone it down a bit.

I get part of it. He’s on the verge of maybe the most stunning political comeback in US history. His whole staff abandoned him for Perry when Perry looked like the hot new thing and now Perry is toast and Newt is crushing him. It must be very satisfying. He’s in position to finally put it to all those in the party to turned on him. I just hope he can control his demons.

Good point.

His instructions to his team not to attack Romney seemed like the move of an elder statesman, a step in the right direction.

Allen West is an excellent idea. I’ve heard him, and he’s no slouch by any means.

Plus, the guy has the courage and integrity of an entire Corps all by himself.

To state bluntly like he did that, yes, he did threaten that iraqi soldier, and yes, he did have a damn good reason for trying to save his troops’ lives, took immense courage, conviction, and integrity.

I don’t know if Washington could handle an honest man whose honest even when the chips are down.

Rubio swears he won’t run. I believe him.

Looks like Newt gains on Cain’s scandals. He also pulled from Romney which I think is important in a state like FL.

You post: “ Newt’s been married now for quite a while to this Callista lady. And by that time, ppl will have extreme Bimbo Fatigue from reading about Cain.

I worry about dirt now being dug up on Callista. She is an unknown individual. Good luck to her.”

Well, at least she’s already proud of her country ;o)

I’ve noted that none - even in FR, seems to’ve bothered to do much research on Calilsta. Y’all might be interested in a bit about her...

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3366161/bio

excerpts:
“Callista graduated Cum Laude and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music with a concentration in Public Communication from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. While at Luther College, she was a Pi Kappa Lambda Member and Regents Scholar.
...A devoted Catholic, she is a member of the Choir of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., a resident professional choir. In March of 2005, the Choir visited Rome...
...Callista served as the Chief Clerk of the House Committee on Agriculture in Washington, D.C. During her tenure, the Agriculture Committee held hearings on a wide range of issues including biotechnology, bioterrorism, conservation, forest management, nutrition, rural development, trade, and welfare reform.

Before joining the House Committee on Agriculture, Callista served in the Office of Congressman Steve Gunderson (R-WI). With over eighteen years of staff experience in the United States House of Representatives, she has a wide range of knowledge in government and legislative affairs, strategic planning, research, and constituent services.
...............
What she does currently is also in the link.

Sounds a bit more substantive than the current FLOTUS - or many others.

She and Newt have spent years publishing books and making movies to educate people on - and extoll - the greatness of America. (do a search in Amazon for a sample)

Callista had also just published a children’s book - to help educate them on American History - which they are not getting in school today.

Indeed, indeed.

Col West also thoroughly educated in Islam - and he doesn’t speak PC.

this is one of my favorite clips

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkWXEvOenNY

This was this first YouTube clip of West, when he was running, that went viral. (He wasn’t even supposed to speak this night, but a speaker didn’t show up - and they asked would he sy something. He did - and he didn’t even need a teleprompter ;o)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP2p91dvm6M

and he’s NOT an affirmative action man ;o) He did it on his own...

I wonder if she would not!

I can see her jumping at the chance, as Energy Sec., to weed out the crime and corruption - just as she did in Alaska, a take no prisoners, regardless of party - AND

To "Drill, Baby Drill"

Along with Newt's drive to "Drill Here, Drill Now..." they would have oil. coal, gas, etc up and running and flowing so fast the socialists wouldn't know what hit 'em.

And we'd be able to afford to fill our gas tanks and our fuel tanks.

I think she would take that on as a responsibility she couldn't turn her back on. Energy independence is one of the bedrocks of our freedom.
