Newt Gingrichs role as the latest, and likely last ABR (anyone but Romney) candidate has solidified in his numbers. Mitt Romney is in the same general range he has always been. Herman Cain? Goodbye. Rick Perry has actually fallen below Ron Paul. In a surprising development, Jon Huntsman is now 20 percent ahead of Rick Santorum! However, that amounts to only 0.4 percentage points.
What will be most interesting in the coming months will be to see where the supporters of the candidates in third through eighth move. The race may not be as close as it appears today between Gingrich and Romney, or Perry could potentially, though unlikely, have a resurgence, as some have suggested in previous comments.
Looks like the CAIN TRAIN is still chugging along.
That’s what I thought! I don’t see Cain “goodbye” at all. Definitely not yet.
I think the very cordial debate between Gingrich and Cain, and now Newt’s defense of Cain in the wake of repeated MSM smear attempts - these both will position Gingrich well should Cain continue to fade.
I was discussing the Repub choices with friends the other day, we all liked Santorum and Bachmann the best. I hope this gets legs, they’re the most conservative of the group.
Looks like he is one of the front runners to me.
Whoa!!! Front row seat at the drive-in!!!
Cain was the frontrunner, but now due to the MSM smears he keeps turning up in third place. Newt is now the front runner.
Cain is in the top three, but he continues to fade.
I think Cain is well positioned to be in Newt’s cabinet.
Sorry about the size.
It all comes down to votes. And not one vote has been cast yet.
Cain supporters know that every time he rises to the top out pops another accuser to try to pull him down. And that’s all they are... accusers trying to pull him down.
Methinks that's a premature obituary. He's doing just fine, per the numbers.
