The White House has released this statement on Barney Frank's retirement from President Obama, who has been meeting with European Union leaders since around noon:
"This country has never had a Congressman like Barney Frank, and the House of Representatives will not be the same without him. For over 30 years, Barney has been a fierce advocate for the people of Massachusetts and Americans everywhere who needed a voice. He has worked tirelessly on behalf of families and businesses and helped make housing more affordable. He has stood up for the rights of LGBT Americans and fought to end discrimination against them. And it is only thanks to his leadership that we were able to pass the most sweeping financial reform in history designed to protect consumers and prevent the kind of excessive risk-taking that led to the financial crisis from ever happening again

Oh, I’m pretty sure we’ve had congressmen “like him” before, but they had the good taste to stay in the closet or at least not trumpet their sexual orientation.
Come on. That’s from The Onion. Somebody tell me that’s from The Onion.
“This country has never had a Congressman like Barney Frank, and the House of Representatives will not be the same without him.”
More truer words have never been spoken....(sarc)

Yeah, that worked out so well, making unaffordable housing affordable for a few years to those that couldn't afford to finance a home to begin with.
No Barf Alert?

Yeah, I’m sure we had B-F’ers all along. Now that our backsides are getting a little red, we finally notice.
The fact that Frank remained a Congressman as long as he did, really telegraphed where the nation was headed.
Sadly, he never got the credit he so richly deserved. If he had, he would have been retired to a federal prison long ago.
That's for damned sure! He was crook and homosexual all rolled into one ugly human being.
Did Obama say anything about how he’ll miss seeing Barney walking out of a room?
I think I’m gonna be sick....
Politico the nations barf site.
That is the voice you want representing you....a combination of Sylvester the cat and a homosexual Elmer Fudd? Either someone in the WH has a sense of humor, or they don't really think about what they're saying.
Probably a little of both.
How sweet it is...Elliot Spitzer, Anthony Weiner and Barney Frank...all history. the country is a lot better off without them. Now if Obama is defeated in ‘12....how sweet it would be.
Geez, who writes this stuff? Some second grader?
Bawanny stood up for making the Americana Public take one in the butt for the sub-prime financial and real estate mess.
