The troopers radar had Robert Jahns going 119 mph.
Not only was he well over the 70-mph speed limit, he was intoxicated and his wife and stepchildren, ages 5 and 16, were in the car, according to the Indiana State Police.
The family was driving through Steuben County, heading north on Interstate 69 to Battle Creek, Mich., for a Thanksgiving Day gathering.
Another motorist alerted authorities to Jahns driving, and trooper Chris Kinsey received a report about 5 p.m. Thursday that a vehicle was traveling at more than 100 mph on the interstate.
Kinsey later spotted Jahns car, a 2005 Chrysler, and clocked him at 119 mph before pulling him over. Kinsey suspected Jahns had been drinking, and a breath test at the Steuben County Jail showed he had a blood-alcohol level above Indianas legal limit of 0.08 percent, state police said.

BING!
Probably thought the speed limit was 169.
That is a guy in search of serious turkey dinner.
NASCAR driver Kyle Busch loses license after pleading guilty to 128 mph speeding.
He was sober, but stupid. This guy is drunk and stupid.
Well, if his wife bitches about his driving like mine does, he has already been punished enough........J/S
OK, that just strains credulity.
Two days ago, 2 teens broke 90mph in downtown Spokane at 4 a.m., crashed into a yogurt shop and came to rest about 16 feet inside the building. Totaled the building and probably the car. They got out and walked home. Ooops!

Maybe he was going downhill.
Officer - Sir do you realize you were going 119 mph when the speed limit is 70 miles per hour.
Drunk - Of course officer, but I was only going to be driving for 30 minutes and at 119 mph I would only travel 59 1/2 miles which is well under 70 miles in one hour.
Seriously though, who in their right mind would let a drunk drive. My aunt ALWAYS took the keys and drove when my uncle was drinking.
Another motorist alerted authorities to Jahns driving...
Forget the drinking. He’s too STUPID to drive.
Ha! Try this:
Ohio State Patrol Officer clocked on his personal motorcycle at 147 mph.
Once in high school I had my mom’s 66 Comet Cyclone up to what I think was about 140.
I’m not sure that’s the case. I’ve seen Honda Accords with speedometers going all the way to 160.
Laws are for the serfs, not the masters.
In high school I used to race my Mom's 1979 Pontiac Grand LeMans (350, 4 bbl) on a measured quarter mile. The speedometer only went to 85, but the guys with the stopwatches had me at about 125.
LOL, the decription probably fits the guy to a t. http://ww2.ajcmobile.com/autojuice/?targetUrl=http://www.ajc.com/news/clayton/clayton-cop-arrested-going-1241179.html
I saw the dashcam video of the Ohio incident. It was a huge story here in Columbus. All three of them (the two on bikes and the cop who pulled them over) were so relaxed and congenial it was ridiculous.
