I regret that I pissed you off, vote for me anyway.
That sounds positively inhumane to me.

SOLUTIONS
1. Control the border.
The United States must control its border. It is a national security imperative.
Every nation has the right to control its border. Historically, every country that has been determined to control their border has been able to do so.
Controlling the border is a matter of resources and will.
As Americans, we can accomplish unimaginable feats when we have the resources and the will. The United States won World War II in 3 years and 8 months. In the 44 months after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States mobilized its resources to defeat Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, and Imperial Japan.
Unfortunately, we havent brought any sense of urgency to controlling our border even as a drug-fueled civil war now rages in Mexico.
In October 1986, Ronald Reagan wrote in his diary that he was signing the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration reform bill because it was high time we regained control of our borders & this bill will do this.”
Today, a quarter century later, we still have not achieved President Reagans goal and expectation.
This bill will waive every obstacle to controlling the border and would shift resources to achieve virtually 100% control by January 1, 2014. If necessary, we would move one-half of the 23,000 Washington-area Department of Homeland Security bureaucrats to the Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona borders.
A border control strategy must be responsive to the unique threats that exist at different parts of the frontier. This strategy must include round-the-clock drone flights to monitor activity, multi-layer, strategic fencing in urban areas, and vastly improved communication between state and federal authorities.
Too late Newt.
Your train has left the station, and you ripped up your ticket.
Because, in his mind, “amnesty” is only giving them citizenship, and not forgiving their crimes against the United States (and whoever they committed identity fraud against).
“I am not for amnesty for anyone. I am not for a path to citizenship for anybody who got here illegally,” Gingrich told the crowd of roughly 750 people”
Unfortunately Newt only gets to use the Solicitor General to make his case to the Supreme Court, and that’s only if he’s still president. The Court gets the final word, once these people are legalized.
...and believe me, if the Court can find abortion in the Constitution, they can EASILY find voting rights for people that are (now) legally living here and working here, and will be staying permanently.
Is he saying ALL illegal aliens in the US to go home, get in line like the rest of the world and take a number?
Is this a flip-flop? I swear I heard something come out of his mouth that was a bit different a short time ago.
Yeah right, he already revealed his support for Amnewtsty.
Come up with a plan to deport all the parasites...then I’ll pay attention.
Truly heartless. /s
Truly heartless. /s
Newt has more baggage than what the cargo hold of the QE2 can accommodate. If Gingrich is the Republican nominee this is the surest ticket to an Obama landslide.
I’ve got it now: those here can become ‘legalized’, then they take a trip home to see old friends and put their names in line to become citizens. Back in the US to pick up where they left off, they merely wait for their new citizenship to take effect.
Over on the “we love newt” post they are putting a brave face on it.If the polls dont show him dropping like a stone then the polls are cooked.I hope it blows up on them.
This isn't the only issue Gingrich has going against him either. He was supporting an extremely liberal RINO in Dede Scozzafava in 2009 when Conservatives like Sarah Palin, and Fred Thompson were supporting the Conservative party candidate Doug Hoffman. Gingrich was supporting the unelectable third place liberal along with those queer liberals who like to call themselves Republicans for some reason, “the log cabin republicans”. That's good company.
Anyway, the democrat candidate won a close race against the Conservative candidate after Newts liberal candidate dropped out, and then endorsed the democrat candidate. It didn't surprise anyone who knew how liberal she was, but she apparently fooled the brilliant Gingrich who somehow saw something beneficial in having an extreme liberal, even compared to other RINO’s, in Congress to begin with.
Wow...750 people. Realize that if Palin showed up unannounced in Podunk, IA she’d draw a crowd of 5,000 within an hour...
If citizenship were the goal, learning English would be a priority but it isn't. America is just a big cash-cow to the North. Of course, any benefits they can accrue while here is just more icing on the cake.
Think of it this way: if there were a place you could go and work for a number of years to acquire property back home in half the time or less than it would otherwise take, wouldn't you be interested? And, if you could sell drugs to the idiots and their children who refuse to hold your illegal presence accountable, imagine the wealth you could create for yourself and family back home.
Citizenship? For what, membership in the biggest Flea Market known to mankind? You'll know the Mexican who's interested in citizenship by their ability to speak English. From my experience, that isn't many.
Politicians need to get off this tangent and build a wall to prevent further invasion and it's consequences. The drain on state's economies is significant when the social costs of harboring illegals is combined with what they send back home. Mowing lawns and washing cars is only some of what they do. Bending over backwards to accommodate them is Gringo Stupid.
“I think the vast majority [of illegal immigrants] will go home and should go home and then should reapply. I do not think anybody should be eligible for citizenship,”.....
I’ll step out and say this: no one who tried to steal it first (enter the U.S. illegally) will try to buy it later (apply for citizenship).
People who seek to acquire U.S. citizenship love our country and will not try to break its laws.
