The most sought-after endorsement of this political cycle will be from a woman who holds no political office and is not currently seeking one. That is why each of the Republican candidates have done the equivalent of kissing Sarah Palin's ring.
RealClearPolitics believes that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has the inside track for getting the Palin endorsement. Of course, reports about what Palin will or will not do is largely conjecture, even if it is sourced from people said to be within the Palin inner circle. Only Palin will know who she intends to endorse and when. Any definitive statement that does not cite her personally as a source should be taken with a grain of salt.
The criteria Palin will use to determine who to endorse will be who will be best for the country, in her judgment, and only secondarily who will be best for her own political fortunes. Palin has some definite ideas about how the United States should be governed, particularly in the suppression of honest graft in the congress and crony capitalism. Whomever is best suited to advance her agenda will get her endorsement.
Not one of the current candidates are perfectly suited for Palin's likely criteria. Romney is too squishy. Perry has been accused of practicing crony capitalism as governor of Texas. Herman Cain, while likely appealing to Palin, has stumbled since the sexual harassment allegations. Gingrich himself has been in politics for decades and

Why don’t you just answer the question ?
Let the Dems have the country another four years. Then you say the people will turn to conservatives? If the majority of the people aren’t on the federal dole by then and willing to vote for Donald Duck as long as he’s a Dem, I’d be surprised. If the people were to turn to conservatives after four more years of Obama, it will be one who sounds more like George Lincoln Rockwell than Sarah Palin. Either of those scenarios I’d rather not see.
So far the only reason you've given is so that some anonymous internet denizen can decide whether or not I have credibility in his eyes. And that person has already shown spectacular lack of discernment in being played by a political charlatan who was clearly (based on actual effort expended) far more interested in cashing in than in running.
Let’s try this again.
Whom do you support for President ?
They have so rigged the process that the likelihood of a brokered convention is nil. i like you thought, but in the end I fear we will have a choice of the Marxist or the Marxist light candidate.
We are actually in a battle against self, how can we win?
why?
After dinner yesterday I realized they still blame Reagan. God Help Us.
Answer the question please.
Out of the mouth, the heart is revealed.
I think Herman Cain will secure our border first, and then take actions with the illegals already here. I don’t think Cain will insult Conservatives by implying that many have “inhumane” stances when it comes to the issue. I think he’s the best candidate, and would be the strongest President, on illegal immigration that our nation has seen in decades. I like that he’s not tied to the Republican establishment, because they seem to pressure Republicans to be weak on the immigration issue for reasons unknown to me. I’ll take someone completely new with Herman Cain.

she lost my support when she dropped us like a ‘hot potato’ and you are correct she pulled the rug out from under a lot of us...
I doubt she will ever gain her FAN list again...
so disappointed...

haircutter.
Why? What do you mean, why? This IS a primary thread, so if you aren’t behind a candidate by now you probably shouldn’t be on primary threads.
No one before the convention. But she will campaign for whoever comes out of the RNC as the winner.
Really? Well, um...why?
His posts seem to consist of non-stop bashing of Governor Palin. I ask a simple, straightforward question and he refuses to answer. I smell a “concern troll.”
Because... we’re not in the general yet?
I believe Sarah stopped running because of the book that came out.
Oh, of course un-decideds should be on Primary threads, but at least bring an inkling of whom you might be considering supporting instead of having the luxury of bashing candidates who you HAVE REASONS NOT TO SUPPORT but can’t enunciate the candidate who extols those characteristics you DO support.
