Yeah that's what I thought too, but it isn't exactly in the background either. Ya sort of see through it.

Light and belief I guess.

Lens flare would be a farfetched explanation of something that was reportedly seen by eye first. I’d think the edge of cloud formations could indeed form a natural collimator for sunlight, complete with rainbow effects. It would be an fortuitous occurrence to catch it.

Yes, reportedly.

Would the edge of a cloud also be responsible for the beads of light in this image?

It looks like classic lens flare.

Regards,

Thank you for posting this. Justin Rollins was one of my husband’s soldiers several years ago...hubby was his platoon sergeant at one point. I showed him this picture and all he could say was Wow...saw some tears in his eyes too.

The whole thing? Maybe the “lens flare” makes it look more dramatic, though. Would eyeglasses also experience the same flare?

Thought, and an ability for thoughtfulness, exists within humans and animals, and I'd call that ability ... spirit.

Question is ... Does spirit exist in all living things?

Yes...That's what makes "living things" alive!

GtG

Yes, I believe it.

I was at Gettysburg with my brother. He got 2 flags to put in the park and put the Confederate flag at Devil’s Den per some famous picture.

We made our way along Little Roundtop to the area where the 20th Maine made its bayonet charge to hold the US extreme left against the Rebels. We were in a tall forest on an overcast day with no direct sunlight at all. My brother took a few steps forward with the flag and said “I don’t know why I want to put this here but I just do”, then he stepped over a log and stuck the stick of the little US Flag into the soil in front of a big rock. He stepped back and just then a single glaring ray of sunlight shot down through the tall trees and rested right on the little flag, lighting in up when everything around it was just kind of damp and dim.

My brother and I looked at each other like, “Hmmm... that was certainly interesting”. Somehow he was dialed into something and I’ll go to my grave believing this was more than just random coincidence. Sure it could be, I sure can’t explain it. But he says “I don’t know why I want to put this here. I just do,” and them BOOM!, one single bolt of glaring light flash on the flag for a 20 seconds or so and then dims out and is gone.

Freaky.

My GSD “Ranger” says “hi” to your GSD “Ranger”. Mine was a rescue as well but he was not abused, just mildly neglected.

Modern science is telling us some wondering things. One for-instance comes from Steves Jones' modern update of Darwin's book. ("Darwin's Ghost," pg 284) "

In there, Jones tells us: "About a thousand genes are shared by every organism, however simple or complicated. Although their common ancestor must have lived more than a billion years ago, their shared structure can still be glimpsed. It shows how the grand plan of life has been modified through the course of evolution."
