A plane crashed in Arizona's Superstition Mountains, according to ABC News Phoenix affiliate KNXV, citing witnesses and local authorities -- but officials told ABC News that passenger flights at major local airports all were accounted for.
It was not immediately clear how big a plane may have crashed or how many people were involved.
Dark video transmitted from the scene appeared to show glowing areas in the mountains, possibly fires.
Witnesses said they saw the plane crash and flames erupt around 6:40 p.m. local time, KNXV reported.
"What we saw was a small plane," said Mark Klein, who lives at the base

HEY! QUIT TEASING ME!
Business keeps me here in North Florida. I HATE THE HUMIDITY!
I remember a Labor Day weekend sitting in the lake, listening to the Doobie Brothers, with an empty beer can in one hand and a full cold one in the other. The empty was for pouring the lake water over me. After a few cold ones I forgot which was which and I ended up pouring the beer on me and drinking the lake water.

Commander ... beautiful!!! Too bad.
I watched Bob Hoover doing his thing in one of those back in 1982 in Dothan, Alabama. Wow!
Watching the Video.. Blown up much LARGER... 1. Following the small ‘light’... 2. Just prior to Impact.. the light goes out... then 3. 3 seconds later the First Flash occurs, Followed 4. One second by the Huge Fuel Ignition. 5. Hence the Fires.
I pray they were killed upon impact.. but, based on the Fires, the plane may have impacted 1st, jumped location to final impact and explosion
You’re right ... Bob Hoover used to fly one of those! I remember he would do part of his show with both engines feathered — nearly silent. Thanks for a great memory. I hadn’t thought about Bob Hoover in a LONG time.
hahaha...why?
