Hosted by the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, the theme of tonight's Republican presidential debate is foreign policy and national security.
The debate is being held at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
CNN is carrying the debate live at 8 p.m. EST.
Participating candidates are: businessman Herman Cain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Reps. Ron Paul (TX) and Michele Bachmann (MN), former Gov. Jon Huntsman, and former Sen. Rick Santorum.
After being hammered on the no fly zone over Syria, he quickly jumped over to Iran. Texas Two Step.
Good call. I think its past his bedtime.”

That would be me, and I stand by my assessment of this isolationist, nutjob.
Paul has been making weird faces as other candidates answer questions. he needs to quit taking up podium space
He responds by talking about expanding the economy.
Cain was asked if he agreed with establishing a no-fly zone over Syria. Cain said No.
He could have, and should have stopped there. It was a yes/no question.
Unfortunately, if he HAD stopped there, everyone who hates him would have jumped on him just as hard for doing that.
Cain is not the only one on the stage who has commented that "it's the economy, stupid." Several of them, if not all of them, have said our national security depends on us having a strong economy.
Uh, what happened on sept 6 2007? Or do I have to go look it up?
Exactly....so long as they don’t get citizenship. Newt’s answer is perfect to me. It’s PRACTICAL.

Perry looking around and talking to Paul when others are talking
Oh yeah!
Cain is clearly sent to the back of blitzie’s brain.
Obama will blame someone else for every problem he himself has created.
A regular Saudi Arabia!
“Mr. Cain, the question everyone is answering is...”
agree.
cain’s the man.
That won’t work because they are using the identity of legal citizens often so in regards to benefits, it looks like that is a legal citizen getting the benefit.
They also have communities where they may have legal citizen family members subscribe to benefits under several variations of names.
Paul’s answer would barely scratch the surface and not really touch the black-market economy they live in .
It’s call the ‘throwing it to the wall and hoping it sticks’ strategy.
Yes, they all should call Newt on his plans to legalize the hordes of ILLEGAL aliens who currently infest our country.
Has Newt started any answer without I wrote the _____ bill with Ronald Reagan.....?

That’s why I’m voting for Cain (not that my vote will matter, I’m not from a “special” state /eyeroll)
