Energy Secretary Steven Chu has outdone the doctor who declares the operation a success although the patient died. Chu wont even say hes sorry for the loss.
The corpse here is the $535 million loan given to Solyndra, the solar company whose business model relied on massive infusions of cash from the White House. The firm is defunct, the cash is gone to money heaven, and Chu can only say its unfortunate.
In five hours of congressional testimony, he refused to apologize for wasting so much taxpayer dough.

Because, to say he is sorry would be a lie!
That $535 Million had to go some place. Someone had to write the checks and there has to be a check book some place stating who the checks were written to. Where did the money go? This situation will remain open until we learn where the money went, who was all the equipment bought from? Who are the main players in the companies that sold the equipment. Dig until we get to the bottom of it all......or the top of it all even if it goes to the WH.
I don’t want him to say “I am sorry”. That would be a lie. None of the Commiecrats have any remorse for destroying America and ripping off good people.
I would prefer to see people rise up and make them sorry by prosecuting them.
PING!
When he was appointed Energy Sec, I had a very sour feeling.
Here he was, a “brilliant” scientist, but I knew he’d hitched his wagon to the wrong horse, I just didn’t know the future........
If Chu had any decency he would resign. He could always get a job painting roofs white.
It went directly to the crooks it was supposed to go.
The only thing this bunch is concerned with is
“did it take power and wealth away from the private sector and put it in the hands of government?”
If “yes”, “Mission Accomplished”.
Left means never having to say you’re sorry.
[ If Chu had any decency he would resign. He could always get a job painting roofs white. ]
Which would actually have more of an effect of lower tempratures around urban heat centers than cutting all CO2 emissions....
But Chu is an Immoral B@$tard and liars never admit they made mistakes.
Because he doesn’t have to.
As part of the Obamameister’s racially representative circle of advisors, he knows that he’s above removal. After all, if they couldn;t get rid of an idiot like Geithner or an idiot like Holder, how the heck can they get rid of an idiot like him?
As long the GOP has party leaders like the moronic Boehner and McConnell, people like him are safe - and he knows it - and so does his puppeteer in the Oval Office.
Saying ‘sorry’ would require a degree of humility that liberals simply do not possess.
Every defense lawyer worth his salt would advise Mr. Chu against making any statement that might possibly be construed as an admission of guilt or anything resembling and admission of guilt.
The clever witness who might incriminate himself, but does not want to invoke his 5th Amendment right since that might in some cases arouse more suspicion of there being a good case against him - and who is also trying to prevent blame from going up to his boss, i.e., fall on his sword - is walking a fine line. He is trying to avoid providing any information that implicates anyone else or himself, but still answer questions satisfactorily enough to have the hearing run out of steam. He is trying to avoid prosecution of himself, if possible, while answering things so that the investigation just ends.

The first chances Hussein’s regime had to apologize were when he made the “acted stupidly” remark and his “Special Olympics” gaffe on NBC.
BOTH TIMES Hussein refused to step up to a mic and do a mea culpa. Instead, we got lectured about “teachable moments”. And the Leno show screwup, I believe, merely got a next-day press release praising Special Olympics....but no real apology.
Hussein and his team are arrogant...
Because that would be to admit that he’s ashamed. If you really want to get a Democrat mad, say “You should be ashamed of yourself!” They go bonkers.
