HERE IS THE MONEY QUOTE FROM THE ARTICLE:
"Ms. Jackson was asked about [increased regulations] and the resulting mass retirements of coal-fired power plants. She responded by saying "First off, EPA doesn't require shutting down of any plant," which is technically true: The EPA merely writes rules so stringent that those plants are no longer [profitable].
When pressed, Ms. Jackson went on to say that "No, I can't say what a business will decide to do. Some businesses are investing in nuclear, some are looking at natural gas. There are states that are leading the way on solar or wind....What EPA's role is to do is to level the playing field so that pollution costs are not exported to the population but rather companies have to look at the pollution potential of any fuel or any process or any plant or any utility when they're making investment decisions." [WSJ emphasis.]
...What Ms. Jackson really means is that she is trying to make coal--the workhorse of U.S. electric power--artificially more expensive.

The purpose of "green energy" is to make energy costs so high that we are driven back to stone age methods of food production, in which case billions of people will starve.
Which fits right into UN Agenda 21's goal of reducing the human population of Mother Earth to 500,000,000 global elite and their servants.

This is in line with Barry's thinking. You may remember him saying he will make it so tough for anyone to build a coal plant it would bankrupt them. Also that under his plan electricity rates would necssacrily skyrocket because of his hatred of coal and bowing to the enviro freaks.

All I can say is that most things the EPA does are subversive to our way of life and intrusive on our liberties. Instant reaction to EPA and Ms. Instant reaction to Ms. Jackson and her windmills = Stupid.

somehow I remember and old USSC where the use of regulation to effect a prohibition was struck down. You could only do X if you had a tax stamp and only the government could issue said tax stamp and no stamps are ever issued.

If existance is fabricated it isn’t natural. These Leftist’s with their peculiar, inhibited perspectives are fabricating existance for all of humanity.
WE have to stop their insane meddling in our very real, and natural existance.
Their foundation is their ideology, and that isn’t something we can do much about other than educate our young, but we can destroy the tool they developed to enslave mankind on this Earth, and that is the U.N.
Defund the U.N., and toss their asses out of the United States period. Stop the States, and the local governments from adhering to the ICLEA. We’re that close to being consumed.

The Strategy: http://www.neweconomics.org/sites/neweconomics.org/files/Great_Transition_0.pdf
The Great Transition - the Great Revaluing - make good things cheap and bad things expensive. Building social and environmental value should be the central goal of policy-making; the Great Redistribution - redistribution of both income and wealth would create value as resources are moved from those who do not need them to those who do. Goal to share working hours and tasks more equally. Foster a redistribution of ownership to create a form of economic democracy, where company shares are progressively transferred to employees in a resurgence of mutual and co-operative ownership forms. Great Rebalancing - markets but where pricing reflects true social and environmental costs and benefits, and a broader definition of “public goods” Great Localisation moving real power away from the centre to devolved “democratic” (stakeholder) bodies. Great Reskilling returning to appropriate scale for agriculture, manufacturing and the arts. Great Economic Irrigation taxing environmental and social bads such as pollution, consumption and short-term speculation. consumption taxes reflecting the social and environmental costs of goods Great Interdependence wealth transfer to developing countries.

Yep when Obama came into office our electric bills were $65 a month during the winter. This last bill was $139 and nothing here has changed except the cost. That is twice what we paid before and our home is mostly natural gas and under 1200 sf.
To: Recovering_Democrat
Even before he was elected I knew the Obama administration would be filled to the brim with the likes of Lisa Jackson types. I submit to the readers:
1. Lisa Jackson- the worst EPA director in history.
2. Stephen Chu- the worst Sec of Energy in history
3. Eric Holder- the worst Attorney General in history (I previously believed it was impossible to get worse than Janet Reno)
4. Ken Salazar- the worst Secretary of the Interior in history.
5. Arne Duncan- the worst secretary of Education in History(and that takes some doing).
6. Tim Geithner- One of the worst Sec of Treasury in history
7. And endless assortment of Czars who should never have had jobs to begin with. Example: Van Jones.
The list goes on and on. The only decent person in Obama's Cabinet is Secretary of Defense Bob Gates, and he's a Bush hold over. Gates is doing is job out of pure patriotism, trying desperately to limit the damage of the Obama administration.
Elections have consequences and the consequences of the 2008 Election are horrific and will be with us for a very long time. Sometimes I want to give up on the American public.
