Obama To Sharpton: 'My Religious Faith' Makes Me Believe Republicans Will Agree To Raise Taxes
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 11/21/2011 6:34:19 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

On his MSNBC show this evening, Al Sharpton played the audio of his radio-show interview of President Obama in which the president, commenting on the failure of the Super Committee, said "my religious faith" makes him believe at some point Republicans will agree to raise taxes.

Even the Reverend Al couldn't take PBO's reference to his religious faith seriously, as he can be heard chuckling in the background.

Obama still doesn't understand Bell Curves. You may raise tax rates, but that doesn't necessarily translate into tax revenue. When you are on the right side of the Bell Curve tax rate down slope you want to move in the opposite direction in order to increase revenue. He still doesn't get it or doesn't want to get it. I guess basic mathmatics was never his strong suit.

President Obama ..... said "my religious faith" makes him believe at some point Republicans will agree to raise taxes.

Makes sense. Satan is certainly in favor of big government and crushing tax burdens.

It’s not about revenue, it’s about tyranny.

It’s the Laffer Curve, not the Bell Curve.

I Kings 12:14 :

And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

It’s the Laffer Curve, not the Bell Curve.

Yes, I'm quite aware that Arthur Laffer used a shifted Bell Curve to explain Tax Rates vs Tax Revenue. But when I say Bell Curve, people get a better visual of what the graph looks like. Many phenomena can be explained with the Bell Curve Concept. One of the most controversial Books of the last 20 years was The Bell Curve by Murray and Herrnstein. I've actually read this book and it explains a lot.

TRANSLATION:

"My religious faith is all about me and what I want". That sums up liberal christianity pretty good. The sad thing is that much of that mentality has crept into the supposedly conservative christian churches.

One reason that I don’t believe Barak is a muslim is because sharia law puts limits on taxes... :)
